---Jason POV---
Jason looked at the report in his hand. His conclusion was that he didn't understand Lucilla in the slightest. First, she destroys a town, then she saves a bunch of kidnapped victims? The old Hero had no idea what to make of this girl, or what exactly she's trying to do. He was also yet again late to do anything when it came to this woman. By the time he got to the location they were already gone. The only thing left was a mansion partially aflame and the front yard completely decimated, along with the underground lab with all the victims, but any and all-important documents were seemingly taken by Lucilla and the group she was with.
He also couldn't help but notice that other than the guards none of the staff of the place were harmed, except for maybe a mild concussion, but that was about it. That told him that Lucilla doesn't just mindlessly kill. Which confused him even more when he thought about how she destroyed Efulen. If she's willing to go out of her way to not harm those that one could be considered innocent, why kill an entire town.
'There was one survivor found in the lab that looked to be hired muscle.' Jason thought remembering the disfigured person. It was a massively gruesome sight to witness. Just thinking about the extra work, he has now had him holding his head in his hands.
"I feel like I've been in this situation a couple of times now." He muttered to himself, thinking back on the other reports that gave him a headache ever since Lucilla came onto the scene.
Sighing he decided it wasn't worth worrying about it right now. He was more concerned about the fact Davis Cathrendor was still up and about somewhere in the world, but there wasn't much he could do about that without some kind of lead. The only person that they could get said lead from was currently unconscious and recovering down in the medical ward of the building. Plus, the Church of Light still wants him to focus on Lucilla unless told otherwise.
He also still had reservations about hunting her, especially since the only thing Lucilla has ever bother telling anyone about what she's planning was that she wanted a life in the city. Jason was growing more and more convinced his and the Churches actions might be what will tip Lucilla into the timeline where she becomes mankind's enemy. Not that there was much he could do about that. He could stop hunting her, but the Church would just send others.
What would happen then, he wasn't sure. He knew the darker side of the Church had no qualms about casualties when it came down to hunting people like Lucilla. People who the Goddess Kintris has said could possibly be an enemy. This world was terrified of another Eldon Vesh and the Church is determined to never let someone like him to ever appear again.
"Gods this is so annoying." Jason rubbed his temples as he felt a headache coming on. Staying in this office was bad for his health he concluded. So, he decided to go take a walk.
"Sir Hero." Jane the mage called out, coming up from behind him. "What are you planning to do today?" She asked him.
"There isn't much for us to do here." Jason answered. "All we really can do is wait and see. I have a weird feeling something is going to happen soon whether we want it to or not."
"Ah, okay." The young mage responded before falling silent.
'I also want to deal with this soon Jane.' Jason thought, 'This world's technology might be all over the place, but from what I can tell it's just about to enter their version of the industrial revolution. I really don't need someone like Lucilla running around during this very important step this world is taking.'
Jason has spent over one-hundred and forty years protecting this world. He really didn't want some catastrophe to mess with its progression.

---Cristina POV---
"Well, we can definitely say she's different from Eldon." Cristina said the moment her brother walked into the room. She was laying on a couch in their living room but sat up when she spoke. Next to her was the cutlass she carries with her everywhere.
It was the day after they've been to the Cathrendor estate. Cristina was too tired to talk last night so she dropped off all the documents to Adrian before going to bed. As she slept her brother and Mora went about spreading the information they've learned to as many parts of the city as much as possible. They had set everything up in advance, so it went smoothly.
"We already figured that out right?" Adrian asked.
"We did, but like, she's not evil. Neither was Eldon, but he was close enough to be called that." Cristina. "Honestly I can't believe she's being treated like that man. If my memory serves me correctly, he didn't care for anyone right?"
"I guess." Adrian shrugged.
"I guess." She repeated his words in a mocking tone. "You were one of his top generals in his army, you should have a better answer than just a simple, I guess."
"I don't know what else you want me to say. He didn't bother meeting with us personally all that much." He retorted.
"Five hundred years and you didn't get a single read of him? I feel like you just weren't paying attention since I seem to have a better understanding of that guy than you." Cristina said exasperated.
"I was busy okay. Unlike you I had responsibilities. I wasn't traveling the world causing trouble." He said in an accusatory tone.
"No, you were just dragging the world into a state of cause and drinking the blood of the fallen, innocent or otherwise." She shot back.
Like Cristina said, Adrian was one of the most prominent Generals in Eldon Vesh's army. Under his command he moved from one battle to the next, always on the front lines, for most of those under his command were Vampires and the fighting allowed them to drink the blood of people without reservation. Of course, most Vampires ended dead by the end of the war.
The First Hero Oliver's first mission was to kill the roaming army of Vampires, and as a result by time Eldon Vesh was slain by Oliver, more than ninety percent of the Vampires in the world was killed off. Many ancient Vampire Lords were killed in the process, leaving very few left Lords left, many of them young. Cristina and Adrian are two of the vampire Lords that managed to survive, despite how young they were at the time.
"...." Looking unconfutable Adrian stayed quiet.
You guys were like fantasy natzi's or something." Cristina said off handedly.
"Uh," Unfamiliar with the word Adrain cocked his head to the side in confusion. "Who or what is a nazi?
"Don't worry about it, anyway, my point being is this; Lucilla isn't on some death wish type endeavor like Eldon, who was hellbent on just destruction or die trying." Cristina said. "Matter of fact I think she's desperate to keep the things she has and to keep herself alive in the process, so I think it's safe to allow her to stick around and not kill her."
"Will she be useful?"
"Useful or not, it doesn't hurt to see what happens. If she truly is supposed to be a big threat like Eldon, then it's going to be a much different type of threat than what he presented. The time Goddess doesn't just say these things about anyone after all."
"However, that's only if she manages to become a threat." Cristina continued. "The Time Goddesses little warning is just that, a warning. She only has a high possibility of becoming something in the future, not a guarantee. She could be killed before she can do anything, like those before her."
"So, if we help her build power..." Adrian started.
"We could be seen as trusted allies and would benefit from it greatly." Cristina said with a smirk. "She'll also have a higher chance of living with our help."
"Thats still assuming she's even going to try and build power, and what her goals are." The male Vampire sibling said.
"True... but the fact she came to us looking for a gang to take over is promising." Cristina pointed out.
Cristina hoped that Lucilla would help give Vampires a chance to once again come back from the brink of extinction. Vampires would never truly go extinct since there was still a chance of a normal human giving birth to one, but that wasn't enough reassurance. The less of them there were the harder it was to make a living in this world. Plus, most people killed the Vampiric child the moment they're born.
Yet currently they couldn't have too many of them either. The more of them there was the more food needed to be shared amongst themselves. That would give people an easier time finding and killing them. Cristina and Adrian weren't too happy with the current situation, but there wasn't much they could do.
Put simply they wanted Lucilla to act as some kind of shield for them in the future and make people hesitant to hunt Vampires, the same way they did during Eldon's rule.
"There may come a day where we can once again walk around, proud of our heritage." Cristina said. Then a sad expression crossed her face. "It would also protect those close to us who aren't Vampires." She absentmindedly rubbed her thumb across her sword.
Noticing this, Adrian decided to not comment on it. "So, we're going to tell her what she wants right? Have her join our little organization."
"Sure, we can tell her who we are, but I feel like that won't matter right now anyway." Cristina said looking back at her brother.
"Why is that?"
"I have a strong feeling she's going to be helping the young Sara with her stuff." She answered with a smile.
"How would you know that?"
"The other day an envoy from the forest asked me how to get in contact with Sara. I redirected them to Lucilla."
"Okay? That doesn't mean she's going to go out of her way to help her."
The Vampiric pirate simply smiled. "I have a hunch our little Lucy may have marked Sara as one of her own, consciously or subconsciously."
A shocked expression colored Adrians face when he heard that. "I don't know if that girl is lucky of unlucky for that." he said, voicing his thoughts.
"I guess we'll have to wait and see."
