"Sir we found the Monster child, the rumors appeared to be true." A man in shiny silver amour said as he dragged a girl barely ten years of age across the ground before tossing her in front of a man dressed as a Scientist, scraping herself in the process. "What should we report to the Church?"
Looking down at the girl, Silver hair was matted with dirt covering its usual luster and causing it to instead appear dull. Her Crimson eyes glared up at the dark-haired scientist with both grief and anger as they held back tears. The man, known as Dr. Verric Vancer had a wicked smile on his face.
"Say nothing of note was found and we could find no concrete evidence of the monster child living in that farming town." He ordered. "But still mentioned that it was a possibility she was here, that should keep the top brass busy for a time."
He crouched down next to the girl. The shadow of the trees above projected ominously on top of Dr. Vancer as he gave the girl a smile. "Hello there little one. What's your name?"
The girl simply glared at him. Sighing the Doctor was about to give the Dwarf in front of him an order when he noticed the scrapes on the girl had healed. "What the?!" He exclaimed quietly in surprise.
"Hey you, cut her." He ordered. The Dwarf hesitated for a moment before taking hold of his axe and cutting her arm long ways. The Doctor watched in fascination as the shallow cut slowly healed itself. "He... he he... hehehehehe, HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Starting with a low chuckle his laughter slowly turned into a full-blown fit.
Throughout all this the girl simply gritted her teeth as she continued glaring at the men surrounding her. She was much too weak to move, she's been running around the forest for days by herself after all.
"Oh, my young dear, we are going to have so much fun." Dr. Vancer told the girl after he calmed himself down. "Grab her, we need to get her to the Lab before anyone sees us with her." He paused and looked at his surroundings slightly nervous. The strange plants and trees, some of which were giving off a low glow in an assortment of colors in the dim light. "Plus, I don't want to stay here for too long."
Bound and gag as she was the girl could do nothing as the Dwarf dumped her into a cage with other poor souls. The cage was covered in a tarp before lurching forward. Looking through a small hole in the tarp she watched as the scenery passed, wondering how and why things had gone so wrong. Eventually she fell asleep, exhausted.
