Getting back to the village. The folk was peeking at Li Shu who was riding beside royals, seeing her brother wasn't out of mind but her... Their whispers were clear and made the princess grin mischievously, directing to her, snapped, "You are so popular among your people, as if a glowing star in the dark sky, they remark you."
"I see that our majesty has a sense of art for weaving the words as a delightful poem."
Fu Liu bit his lip, if his princess didn't like her language, he could have strangled her yesterday. Her platitude manner was not tolerable. Gorgeous but impolite, who could endure her except his princess?
But what she did for princess Xing Huan was impressive, even though realizing that they were royals, she didn't draw back. There was a tinge of faith about her.
"Here is Zhensi tailor, we can ask him first." Chaoxiang halted near the building, dismounting there.
The princess jumped down and asked her guards to stay outside and only Fu Liu and Li Shu walked after them.
The tailor saw the tiaras on their hair and noticed them as royals, bowing to them. He peeked at Li Shu! What was this devil doing with them?
"Welcome, Milady, how can I help you?" He laughed eagerly, this was a blissful day that flourished with grace.
It was true that the princess used to come here too much but neither of people had ever seen her face directly. It was annoying her indeed, the words always traveled around throughout her maidens and she couldn't get close to her people, unlike her mother. She could never take her place.
"Do you know where this type of fabric comes from?"
The man bowed his head and with two hands grabbed the piece of fabric. Carefully studying it, he pouted, "The mark of the crescent moon belongs to the Feng family. They have the biggest loom in the capital."
The man informed. Princess Xing Huan frowned, why didn't she anticipate that might be a royal behind this. How could it be possible for a bunch of wildlings to get by the moves on the roads, and be aware of them? All those who were trading were supposed to get a license and a list of their goods should have been recorded in the cutcherry finance archive.
She grasped what she wanted, she had to ask her father to check on every single matter regarding either generative. Only rich and powerful families were handling them and had the privilege to produce vital products.
"Fu Liu, give him a silver coin." To her, this tailor deserved it because he could have asked for sincerity before answering the question.
The young eunuch gave the man one silver coin when the princess turned to leave and Li Shu chimed in, "Tailor Zhensi, did someone lately come to buy fabrics from you? Like a stranger, you never met before."
"Huh, Li Shu, did you become a detective lately?" The tailor didn't know why were these royals taking this rude monster with them but it smelled trouble when she was around.
"Ah, tailor Zhensi, I think your wife really wants to know where were you last week, the night…?" she smirked devilishly.
The princess bit her lip, this untamed bird didn't know how to treat people, seriously. Hiding the faint sneer on her face, she got back and grabbed hold of her arm, pulling her out. The tailor was about to explode, his face was as red as a forged metal that had just come out of the furnace.
"Let's leave it to your brother and Fu Liu, come with me."
The princess took Li Shu out with her, the girl steadied herself. Meanwhile, the princess folded her hands on her chest, wearing thoughtful skin.
"If you keep that manner no man will fall in love with you!" Princess Huan was testing her to see what this girl was growing in her mind. Moreover, a girly talk was the best pick of choice.
"Your highness thinks that dignity comes with me marrying a man?"
"It has nothing to do with my question! Being nice to others and holding up some ethics wouldn't kill you."
"Why should I respect those who call me monsters, they know nothing about me but judge me, I see their wives and them gossiping the whole time when they see me, their whispers can deafen the devils."
The princess had no words in her response, so this girl was acting like a mirror, reflecting those people's behavior toward herself.
"If you can't settle with this folk, in this small village, then why are you here? Why don't you leave and go to a bigger place? You can be educated and become a scholar to raise children in manner!"
Li Shu smirked; the fish had caught the bit. The princess was somehow asking her to go with her, could it be better than this?
"Why not your highness hires me?" she tried her, but in fact, not having even a tinge of relish to stretch this for another day.
"I'll consider it if you want to, but keep in mind that I'm not a soft master."
Getting back to the noises that horses caused, the princess saw her father's valet. he came along with so many guards. It meant one thing; her father wanted them back. The king hadn't attended the hunting seasons after the Queen's death. The princess also didn't prefer it but she came for another purpose.
Taming the horses, the valet dismounted and knelt before his princess. "Your majesty, I am blessed to see you in health."
"Rise, courtier Tan Gui, it seems you had a hard trip?"
Standing up, the middle-aged man nodded, "Don't mind us, your highness, I am here to give you a message from the King."
"What it can be that my father didn't wait for me to come back?"
Gazing at the man, Li Shu swallowed hardly. This princess couldn't leave without her being cursed by this foolish bracelet. She peered at the man recklessly, ignoring that was disrespectful to stare like that.
The king's valet caught that disturbing stare and his eyes rolled on Li Shu.
"Can we talk privately?"
At the same time, Fu Liu and Chaoxiang came out of the tailor's store.
"Courtier Tan Gui, we are glad to see you here."
The man frowned at him instead of answering. The princess grasped the meaning behind that, this man would punish Fu Liu for hiding things from them. They must have seen the residence. Her sibling and the rest were staying there.
"We can talk in my tent."
The courtier shook his head, it was even worse that they didn't go to the Spring quarter and preferred to stay in tents with the lack of security! The King wouldn't spare this neglect.
