The princess entered a tailor store, he was the famous one among all who used to work with so many merchants, even those who came from overseas.
Different types of fabrics and colorful laces were hung inside the yard, people were choosing among them, having stunning assistant ladies beside them to be dominated
The guards joined the princess, both of them were wearing casual clothes, pretending as couples, for a moment thinking that they could make a good pair, her lovely Zha Gang and Yan Yuxi.
"They look good together, your highness."
Fu Liu declared and the princess confirmed with a smile.
"He is not the type I prefer!" Yan Yuxi rejected and it made the man beside her raise his eyebrow, turning to lock her path, bending on her.
"What is your type then? Does the gleam of my handsomeness blind you?"
Yan Yuxi blinked in bewilderment, her cheeks pinked, "Huh! Ridiculous, you boastful peacock, don't waste our time, don't you see your master is having a busy head."
The princess and Fu Liu were giggling, and the guards turned on them, blankly glimpsing at the princess, the much that she felt the heat on her cheeks.
Yan Yuxi approached her, scanning her face, the princes stood there stifling, "What are you doing? Is something wrong with my appearance?"
The girl shook her head, unbelievably, "What was that thing on your face, I'm not delusional, am I?"
The princess touched her face, brushing her fingers on her skin, not confident if any spot was left on her face after dinner!
Clasping her arm, Zha Gang took her back beside him, "Of course you are delusional, but this time our lady is truly smiling."
"Yes, we must thank Li Shu!"
Fu Liu noted.
"Who is Li Shu?" the girl asked, who was the person?
"She is famous in the castle; how didn't you hear of her?"
The guards exchanged glances and shook their heads in denial. They went to the princess after getting back from their mission, before the visit, all they heard were whispers about the princess being close to being caught up by her brother's arrow.
"She is my daily maiden!"
"Daily maiden? Did we have such a position?"
Zha Gang asked.
"Now we have!" the princess smirked and wrung her hands behind her and walked forward to see the tailor. This drapery was the biggest one in the entire Yu city.
"Hmm!"
Startled Yan Yuxi turned on her heels and followed the princess, nudging Fu Liu, "Tell us later, I want to know everything you went across in the Spring hunt."
"Ask the maidens they will make sure no word is left behind!"
Yan Yuxi bared her teeth, this greedy eunuch didn't disturb to open his mouth, she wished that instead of having this pretty face, he had gotten some sensation.
Getting inside the three-story building, it was more crowded than outside. Zha Gang neared the princess, "I've told his secretary that you are a merchant from Di kingdom."
The prince nodded, Di reign merchants were rich and powerful so the tailor would do his best to work with them.
Climbing up the steps, they headed to the room where the tailor was, his assistance used to get the orders.
The interior design of the place was red and more decorated to a woman's taste, the princess was shocked. The famous tailor of the Yu city was Wang Min, it was a man's name and what she witnessed was a pretty woman in a red majestic high-quality Hanfu she had ever seen.
She had the symbol of her family on her forehead, two red flames curling in each other. Seeing the princess, she put out her black fan which had some spells written on it.
The woman stood up and flew forward in a blink as if a Phoenix with lashing flames. Swirling around Xing Huan, the woman carefully scanned the girl from top to toe. She wasn't like the regular ones from other noble families.
Fu Liu didn't like that scheme, his hand hurried on his sword's hilt but the princess quickly studied his motive and raised her palm.
The woman stopped in front of her, sniffing the princess's perfume but soon when her eyes reached her neck they ran wide and she knelt.
"Your highness, I am at your disposal."
The princess learned her brightness from the first sight, this woman was from another world, with no qualm.
"How could you recognize me?" the princess passed by her, reaching the table she took her seat, there was a bottle of high-quality Baijiu. Even its scent was catching, pity that she wasn't allowed to drink because of her anxiety issue.
"Rise, you are putting me in discomfort."
The princess's eyes averted on her, the beads of sweat were shimmering on her pale skin, she bit her red lip, this woman was scared of her? Why?
Rising on her feet, she walked to the princess and took her seat down there.
"Are you reluctant that I plunged into your place like this?"
"Not like I'm not fortunate, it is indeed dangerous for your majesty to walk around like this, only with three guards."
Her piercing eyes averted on the guards, she hissed. These silly youths brought her to dance with danger.
"How come, tailor Wang Min? do you know something that I don't?"
"Managing here has advantages but also it makes me fly with danger, due to what I hear."
"Hmm, you heard the rumors about the Spring hunt accident."
Wang Min sourly nodded, "Can't deny my concern."
It was pleasant to hear her and see that she was playing as a loyal civilian.
"Didn't you tell me, how could you recognize me?"
The woman's eyes turned on her collar, "I know the fabrics I give you, your highness, what I've been tailoring for you is uniquely made by me, not my pupils."
The princess nodded, and her hands moved inside her inner chest pocket, took out the piece of fabric, and handed her.
"Do you know this badge?"
The woman grabbed it with two hands, she pouted when her eyes met the sign. Why was the princess after something this old? Where did she even find it?
"I know it belongs to Feng loom but they no longer make fabrics."
"Your highness, it has been twenty years that they don't make fabrics, the whole family was assassinated by their enemies. As I know, no one left from this family."
"Then who is making the fabric with this badge?"
Fu Liu asked.
"I can't be sure but perhaps someone had found their instruction," Wang Min wasn't certain but if it wasn't a mimicker then it could be scary, perhaps someone survived and was after avenge.
"Do you know who had assassinated them?"
The princess asked, but she was as young as her to be aware of the detail.
"No, but the case is still open, some people still look for these fabrics and speak about the family."
The mystery was rooting up for the princess, she had to see the judge who had worked on this case, hoping that he was still alive.
"Do you know the loom's address?"
Picking a paper from her table, Wang Min began to write down the address.
"No one lives there, I suggest you not go alone, I heard that the family's spirits are straying around there."
The princess took a short glimpse of the address and frowned, it was near the forest, the family had owned an expanded area and it was all left unused.
"Ah, I guess someone can help you with this family, we call him the mad minstrel. I heard that he was a friend of master Feng."
The princess felt that something shivered inside her, could it be related to the case her mother was working on? What if someone killed her mother and she didn't die out of illness? It boiled her blood.
"It is weakened and he must be now inside the guesthouse, playing Go with some rich guys to earn some coins."
The princess jolted up and dashed out, but Fu Liu thanked the woman.
"We will repay your favor."
"Just keep her safe, you, fools!" she nagged, it seemed her affection for the princess was beyond what it looked.
