The King was trying to sit but he coughed and blood gushed out of his mouth. His chest ached and he shouted weakly.
Eunuch Fu hurried and got inside, his eyes caught the dark red blood.
"Bring the physicians!"
He yelled out and strode to the King, handing him a tissue, and said, "your highness, please hang on."
The King nodded, he had to hang on for his daughter, for the promises he made.
"Xing Huan, bring her to me!"
The eunuch turned to a valet, "summon the princess!"
The man streamed out of the King's chamber and rushed to the library where the princess must be now. He saw a few suitors who were challenging their men inside the training arena.
He rushed up the stairs and saw Fu Liu there.
"The King..." He stammered and took a deep breath but his expression explained he was not carrying good news.
"He is very ill and asked to see the princess."
