Alpha's P.O.V
Since that hunt for the intruder, the scent seems can't get off my mind. My mate was it really her? For years I've been waiting for this time to come I can't just shrug it off. I know she have not gone so far. I decided to camp out for a while and ordered my men to continue the search in the north, west, and east. I remained in the south because I believe she's still here. I was busy adding up a pile of woods to my bonfire when I heard a scream probably a mile away from where I am. Without a doubt I ran towards the place. Half way I sensed two presences of rouges inside my territory and a faint scent of lavender and honey. "Mate…" I ran faster and saw how she was cornered and fuck she is naked. My wolf was never been angrier. He was about to attack when I stopped my wolf,
"Nick calm down…"
"Calm down? Can't you see our mate is in danger? And that fuckin bastards are feasting their eyes on her body!"
I was arguing with my wolf when I heard my mate spoke.
"o! veni! Ego sum mandi possunt." Fuck her voice is so angelic but what did she say?
"I want to mark her right now!" my wolf screamed at me.
"Ugh! Now is not the time to go in heat asshole" I snapped back at him to remind him that we are in a fight.
I saw the rouges move and as if on cue I jumped on the rouge bit his neck and snap it.
"What the heck did you do to my brother?!" the other rouge tried to jump at me, slashing my foreleg with his claws. I bit his neck and snap it off from his body. I turned around to see my scared mate. Why didn't she shift onto a wolf? Don't tell me she's human? I shift back to my normal form and walked behind her. I saw her opened her eyes and was terrified to witness lifeless and headless bodies in front of her. She was about to scream when I covered her mouth with my hands. I don't want to gather a lot of attention for now, not now that she's naked.
"Shhh… You're safe now…" I assured her. Her eyes were electric blue, so deep it's drowning me. I was snapped back to reality when I felt her bit my hand.
"Argghh! Why the fuck did you do that?" I snapped at her. I saw fear in her eyes as she took a step back.
"What the fuck are you doing idiot you're scaring our mate". I blocked my wolf out he's so loud I can't concentrate.
"Come on. I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell at you like that" I told her yet she only gave me a confused look. I saw her hug herself. oh yeah I forgot. I mentally hit myself for being an idiot. I took my shirt off and gave it to her again she gave me that stare, that kind of stare like I have grown something on my forehead. I took a deep breath trying to hold my temper. I put my shirt on her to cover her nakedness. I saw her smile and hugged me. I was utterly surprised, and felt like my wolf is out of control. I hold Nick down before I shift into a wolf and ruin the moment.
"I'm sorry" I tried to calm down and apologize to her. She let go of me and gave me a smile.
"Tibi gratias ago pro salute me.Huic ego vos malum. Paenitet enim me conculcarent coepit terminus vester." She told me shyly. I may not understand what she said but she look so amazing I can't believe my eyes. I can't help myself but to stare at her. She giggled making my wolf went wild. What the fuck is she doing with me?
"Mark her now!" Nick said impatiently.
"Shut the fuck up, Nick. We need to earn her first" I told Nick through our link.
She gestures me to hold her hand, like a good obedient puppy I did what she wanted. She then closed her eyes,. Are we going to kiss? Is this what she wanted? I inched my face towards her getting nearer and nearer.
