Nana noticed Ember running towards the door and tried to stop her, but it was too late. She saw Ember's eyes filled with tears, and she was even barefoot. Nana rushed to Dylan's room and called out, "Dylan, that girl... she ran away from the house, huff! Huff!"
The door burst open, and Dylan came out, asking, "What happened, Nana? Calm down and then tell me."
"That girl, Ember, ran out of the house. While she was running, I saw her eyes filled with tears. I called out to her, but she didn't notice. I tried to follow her but couldn't catch up; she ran towards the street," Nana said in a worried voice.
Dylan didn't say a word and ran outside into the heavy rain to look for her. Every step he took made him more anxious about her, and strange thoughts were weighing on his mind. "Why did she run all of a sudden? She doesn't even know anyone here except me. What if she gets into trouble? It might be too late, and the rain is so heavy," he thought to himself. He urgently called his butler, Mr. Feng, and said, "Search for her everywhere you can."
"I hope you're okay, but why did you leave without saying a word?" he whispered to himself as he searched everywhere near the street. After a few hours, in the hopes that Ember had returned, he rushed back home. He noticed that she hadn't returned. Nana advised, "You're all soaked; go change or you'll catch a cold."
"I'll do it later; finding her is more important," Dylan replied as he took his wet steps toward Ember's room. When he entered, he found the room empty. "Why did she leave like this? And why was she crying?" These questions tormented his mind. He noticed that the bedsheet was missing, and some of her things were scattered on the floor. He felt even more hopeless about finding her and sat on the bed, burying his face in his hands, his emotions and helplessness overwhelming him. Through the gap in his fingers, he noticed a magazine by the bed. He picked it up and realized, "So she knew I was lying to her. Now she knows that I'm not Emir; my real name is Dylan." This revelation crushed his remaining hope, and he collapsed to the floor.
In a hurry, he called Butler Feng and said, "Go to the police station and check the CCTV footage on that street." Thoughts raced through his mind about where Ember could be, especially considering she didn't even know the native language. He stood up from the floor, walked to the window, and thought, "What a fool I've been to lie to her when she told me she liked me. I'm so sorry, Ember... so sorry for not telling you the truth." The pain in his heart and the guilt overwhelmed him, and he burst into tears. He tried to hide his emotions by covering his face with both hands, and suddenly, a message notification chimed.
