Ember rushed home and headed straight to her room, muttering to herself, "He really doesn't believe me... He assumed I'm in love with someone else so quickly... And what was with him searching the whole room, as if I were hiding something from him? I've been thinking about him all this time, even in the real world..."
Today, it hit me, she thought. I love him. And he accuses me of cheating on him with someone else? He's gone too far. What makes him think he's always the center of my world? She said all of this out loud, pacing around her room in frustration.
Then, there was a knock on the door. "Who is it?" she asked, clearly frustrated.
"It's me, Emir," came Emir's voice from the other side.
"I don't want to talk to anyone right now," she responded.
"Please, let me explain," Emir pleaded.
Ember rushed to open the door and confronted him, saying, "What are you going to say? That you think I'm having an affair, right?"
"No!" Emir entered and closed the door behind him. "Just imagine, who could be my new boyfriend? Think about who else I spend time with, excluding you. I only have one friend in real life, and that's you."
"Her name is Sofia, okay?" Ember admitted, her hand trembling around her chest.
"Don't tell me you're interested in girls..." Emir responded.
"Emir... You are..." She couldn't complete her sentence and broke down, sobbing like a child.
Emir realized his mistake and said sincerely, "No, I'm sorry."
"No! I'm sorry that I've fallen for you," Ember confessed, her emotions overwhelming her. "Do you know that today I felt differently about you, a feeling I've never had for anyone but you? And yet, you don't trust me. Every relationship needs trust, but you don't even have that in me." She collapsed onto the bedside, and Emir extended his hand to help her, but then withdrew it. She continued to sob and said, "Just go..."
