Chapter 34 - focus on your homework..

"Now it's time to do homework," Emir said to engage her. Ember replied, "Okay," with a smile, even though she didn't want to.

Emir found a way to explain to her, "So this is what you need to understand. Management accounting is something where we manage the financial records of a business or an organization..." He hadn't even finished his sentence when Ember interrupted, "Who is she?"

Emir tried to redirect her focus to their homework, "Focus on studying."

She replied, "Okay," without even looking at him.

Emir continued, "So, what was I telling you?"

She responded, "Management accounting," but her eyes were searching for that girl again.

Emir asked, "So, what is it?"

Ember replied, "Forget it... I can't focus. Just tell me, is she your girlfriend?"

Emir got frustrated and asked her, "Are you studying or not?"

Ember realized he was getting mad. "It's okay, you don't have to tell me." He flicked her forehead and said, "What do you want to know?"

Ember winced, saying, "Ouch! About management accounting," while rubbing her forehead.

"That's good to know," Emir said.

After they completed their studying, they were about to leave the library. "Let's go," Emir said.

"Wait, I need to use the restroom," Ember told him.

He replied, "Let's go."

Ember looked troubled and said, "It's the girl's restroom."

"I'll wait outside," Emir told her, placing his hands on his waist.

Ember replied loudly, "No!"

Emir frowned in a playful manner and asked, "Do you know where the restroom is?"

Ember realized her mistake and said, "No," in a submissive tone.

Emir grinned, "Am I going?"

"Where are you going?" Ember asked to confirm.

Emir responded, "Of course, to the car."

Ember made a request, "Can you wait here in the library?"

"No," Emir said, attempting to leave.

Ember held his hand and pleaded, "Please stay."

"Okay," Emir agreed.

As she headed to the restroom, Emir thought, "Why can't I stay mad at her? Sigh!"
