One day, the world suddenly changed with a wave of mana that seriously injured many people. After that wave of mana was spread across the whole world, a violent storm began. A violent storm that no human or demi-human has ever seen appeared all over the world. The places that never received even a single drop of rain for centuries also suffered from catastrophe. This storm and two days long rain changed the whole world forever.
With the start of the storm and darkness that consumed the light of the sky, it was as if the day of judgment had arrived. People started going crazy. The humans and the demi-humans started turning into zombies.

The people of the slum were the group that suffered the most because of this event. The crowd and less space in the slum made it hard for other people to escape the zombie attacks. This further increased the zombie population in the slums.
The only people that managed to survive this horrifying nightmare were the people who shut their doors and windows and stayed locked in their own homes.
Maria Lucas, a 27 years old female orphan who lost her parents about a month ago did the same and stayed safe in her house.

For the first few days, Maria was extremely terrified and scared. The roars of the zombies scared her to death. The thought of zombies suddenly entering her house, kept her awake for 2 days. Maria didn't dare make any sounds so that zombies wouldn't find that a human was inside the house.
After 2 days of observation, being an intelligent woman by nature, Maria figured out some weaknesses of the zombies and became a little bold. She set up a simple trap and managed to kill one low-level 1 ranked zombie all by herself. With the stats that she got from killing the zombie, Maria put most of her strength into her mana and health.

Everything was going great. On the third day, Maria got some sleep, and then with her improved stats and with the kitchen knife that she had, she further managed to slaughter all the zombies around her house without making too much noise. The entire process was very difficult considering the fact that she had to do it while not making any sound.
Things were going great for Maria. After killing the zombies and after reaching level 8 Maria finally had some new hope. As she came out of her house, she also discovered the existence of some other human survivors.
Thinking that sticking with other humans was going to help her survive, Maria decided to reveal her location to the human survivors. But little did she know that her one decision would get her in trouble.

"Let me go, please I am begging you." Maria pleaded while tears rolled down her cheeks. At this moment, Maria was surrounded not by zombies instead she was surrounded by the people of her own race. Since Maria has been blessed with beauty, these men wanted to take advantage of her seeing that a weak girl like her is alone. At first, Maria tried to put up a fight. But against 11 men, there was nothing that she could do.

At this moment, Maria's hands and legs were tied with ropes. No matter how much she tried she couldn't move. Earlier, in an attempt to stop these men and escape, she had used all of her mana to release the basic spells that her class gave her.
"So, who is going to taste this maiden first?"
"Of course, the Boss is going to do it."
"Yeah, we should respect our seniors. Boss, don't hold back."
Hearing these men who looked no different from street thugs, more tears started gathering in Maria's eyes as her entire body began to tremble.

"Alright, since you guys are insisting, I will go first." The boss of these men was a 49 years old man with a bald head and 6 feet tall body. He had a face that was even uglier than the face of a gorilla. Looking at his ugly face, people would think that he belongs to a different race.

Just as the man named Winston was about to touch Maria's body, Winston's entire body suddenly froze to ice.

Just as she expected a loud explosion blew up the entire house, attracting the attention of countless zombies in the area. Fortunately, the explosion did reach Maria who was behind the thugs.

After the explosion, Aleesia and others quickly found their places on the roof. Since their battle was going to attract thousands if not ten thousand of zombies, everyone secured their places on roofs so that zombies wouldn't able to bother them.
'Now, I should kill them quickly.' Since Aleesia was no longer inside the small and narrow house, she could fully use her powers.
"From behind" Seeing two men attacking her from behind, the princess jumped 3 meters up while taking out her sword. Just when she was about to land on the ground, she poured some of her mana into her sword and then swung her weapon at the two men that attacked her just now.

"So beautiful" In Maria's eyes, Aleesia at this moment looked like the angel that had come to protect her. The admiration in her eyes couldn't be hidden. Deep down, she also wished to become like Aleesia.
"Silver-white hair that represents pureness, a beautiful face that is the definition of holiness, and her deadly attack which is the representation of her undying might. Is this how Goddess truly looks like?" At this moment Maria Lucas's eyes were shining in gold stars.

Looking at the frozen bodies of all 11 men, Aleesia realized something. "I should have left one of them alive to get more information on the enemy." In the heat of the moment, Aleesia realized the mistake that she just made.
"um.....My lady, can I say something?" Aleesia looked at Maria and nodded, telling her to speak.
"When these filthy dogs broke into my house, I learned that they have a base located 8 km north."

"I see, thank you for the information. Do you want to come with me?" Aleesia asked knowing that its' not safe for a girl weak as her to stay in this kind of place alone. Also for some reason, Maria's behavior reminded Aleesia of her personal maid who died when the apocalypse started.
"Sure, I would love to come with you."
