"Not good." Isaac hurriedly jumped away from Xavion while changing the shape of his Executioner of Nightmares. Meanwhile, Xavion's entire body had swelled as dark blue light flickered around his body.

"My prince, if you do survive this attack, then I would like you to take my storage ring and make great use of it." The Executioner of Nightmares changed from a spear to a 2 meters big red ball while surrounding Isaac so as to protect Isaac from the explosion.
Xavion looked at Isaac one last time as his eyes flashed in regret before his entire body exploded. The southern Guardian felt that if he had met Isaac before, then his life could have been more honorable and meaningful.

From a distance, Aleesia and Aymer saw a wave of fire spreading in all directions and destroying all the houses and zombies in the area.
Luca who had retreated back was also shocked and stunned. He never thought Isaac would be able to bring Xavion down.
The people who were staying at the underground shelter felt the earth was shaking with a loud explosion.

When everything seems to calm down, the Executioner of Nightmares returned to its original form.
Isaac was standing surrounded by debris. All the building within 50 meters radius was destroyed and flattened out.
Isaac saw a dark blue shiny ring on the ground.
"This must be the storage ring of Xavion." Isaac picked up the ring and looked for a healing item as his condition was getting worse with each passing second.
After drinking a low-rank recovery potion, Isaac managed to recover half of his health.

"At that time, if I hadn't used Azure steps and Gravity Manipulation then I would have died from his royal tiger's first attack." Isaac was about to read all the system logs but then he looked up and saw Aleesia, Aymer, Owen, Scarlett, and Luca all 5 walking toward him.
All 5 people had different thoughts in their minds as they walked toward the man who just killed Xavion.

Among the 5, Aleesia looked most restless. Even though Aleesia was a powerful Gold-rank cultivator, the chances of her killing Xavion were not more than 20%. She wasn't sure if she could kill Xavion given his power.
Aleesia had some plans on killing Xavion in the near future. But who would have thought that Isaac, the very man whom she assumed to be weak would be able to kill Xavion?
'Did is misjudge his strength? Or did he purposely keep his strength hidden all this time?' Aleesia wasn't sure. Aleesia again felt that Isaac's identity wasn't simple.

"What happened here?" Aleesia asked. Isaac looked at Aleesia's beautiful angelic for a moment as if trying to see what she was thinking. Isaac was curious what reaction Aleesia would have when she hears the truth.
"If I were to reply in short words, then I would say I have killed Xavion." Hearing Isaac's words, Aymer, Owen, and Scarlett showed a shocked reaction before calming down.
Only Aleesia narrowed her eyes as she felt she needed to listen to the long story.

"Xavion wanted to get rid of me through Elyong who also had betrayed Xavion....." Isaac then proceeded to explain everything. As for whether they believed in his words or not, Isaac doesn't care.
After Isaac finished explaining everything, everyone fell into silence. Owen and Scarlett looked a little hesitant as Xavion had never treated them disrespectfully. Xavion even helped both girls in leveling up. While Aymer's reaction remained neutral. He didn't have much connection to Xavion.

"What are we going to do about the two bases? Now with all the evolvers of Mutant base being dead, protecting two bases with just our current number would be very difficult." Owen looked at Aleesia as if waiting for her to speak.
"We first have to solve one of our urgent problems." Isaac knew what problem Aleesia was talking about.
"We have to find and secure food for the survivors."

"If we search every house and collect all the grains together then we will have enough supplies for the moment." Luca voiced out his thoughts. Luca had suggested this same idea to Alex and Silver, but both of them rejected the idea as they wanted to focus on increasing their military strength. So Luca is not sure if Aleesia and Isaac will agree to his suggestion.
"I think this idea might work for a short period of time. But we have one problem."
"We need manpower." Aleesia nodded at Isaac.

"How many survivors does the Mutant Base has?" Aleesia asked Luca.
Hearing Aleesia's words, Luca understood what she wanted to do. "Miss your plan won't work. First of all, Silver and Alex had forced some of the people to work for them as evolvers. Now that all 60 evolvers have died, I don't think anyone would step forward to help us. The survivors would think that they would just end up dying like 60 evolvers."
"I say the people will agree to help us despite the danger. Hunger can drive a man to do anything. All you have to do is show them some temptation."

Luca and others had to agree that Isaac's words had a valid point. Aleesia felt Isaac can convince the people of Mutant beast to help them with gathering food.
"This idea is short-termed and won't last long. Now that the whole world has changed, we will need a stable source."
"Do you have any other idea in your mind?" Aleesia asked.

"We can hunt evolved beasts."
"Evolved Beast?"
"When ordinary people eat evolved beast meat, they get some free stats points. Levis's sister also got some free stats points." Everyone looked surprised for a moment.
"Because of continuous rain, even though we don't realize it, the weather has gotten really cold. I doubt we will be able to keep all the people alive just by feeding them grains. So, I think the idea of hunting evolved beast is our only current option."

"Isaac, you shouldn't forget that behind those walls, there are high-level guard zombies that almost killed you before. Not everyone here has the power to go beyond those walls and hunt evolved beasts from the forest." Owen, Aymer, Scarlett, and Luca their strength wasn't enough. "That's why I am going there alone." Before Aleesia could say anything, Isaac signaled her to stop as he began to speak. "You should stay here and protect the two bases. It's only a matter of time before, high-level zombies start appearing. We shouldn't forget that even zombies can level up and grow stronger."

After Isaac left, Aleesia stared in Isaac's direction. No one knew what she was thinking at this moment. After a moment of silence, Aleesia looked at Luca and spoke in her usual cold tone. "Take us to your Mutant Base."

Scene change
One of the reasons why Isaac decided to hunt Mutant beasts is because he needed to fulfill the requirements in order to break through level 25. Breaking through level 25 would mean that Isaac would officially enter gold rank and his powers would greatly increase.
