Chereads / Reborn: Villainess' Harem / Chapter 9 - Last Human, First Queen

Chapter 9 - Last Human, First Queen

Lucien's claws had long been retracted. As he traced the woman's back, his golden eyes remained fixated on the small thing clinging to him. If it was before, he would have flung this daring woman to her death – but that was before.

Lured by her ethereal beauty and captured by her bold kiss, his primal need to mate was fully ignited even without the presence of the full moon.

Wave after wave of primal need to impale the woman underneath him made Lucien close his eyes. Tongues swirled, and breaths were exchanged in the most intimate way between a man, and a woman could ever do.

"Mhmmm!"

The woman's unwillingness resonated but was not heard by the beast in heat which was pinning her against the boulder.

Instead, Lucien responded by tugging her closer to his heated body. Ignoring the struggle from the woman he was drawn to, he continued to suck her dry with his eyes closed.

Lucien was too lost in the heat that he ignored her tears, and her blazing eyes filled with fury.

And the next thing he felt was her body turning transparent as seconds passed; she had finally vanished into thin air.

"The fuck?"

Gone was the desire as if his body was doused with cold water. His erect soldier calmed down from its rampage. Lucien's heartbeat that rammed his ribcage since he embraced her had also started to ease down.

Gone was the supple feeling of her body underneath him. And even though he hated to open his gleaming predatory golden eyes, he had to – only to regret it in the end.

She was gone. She was simply not there in front of him anymore.

Lucien drew blood as he bit his tongue to stop himself from howling. His last bit of sanity stopped him from alerting his enemies. Heck, he almost forgot about those fuckers in the first place!

The boulder before Lucien collapsed when he poured his frustration on it. Tugging his hair, Lucien's canines flashed under the moonlight sheen. He was too preoccupied with the fact that a chic ran away from him that he failed to realize that his internal injuries had fully recovered!

Lucien failed to realize it, but his whimpering red wolf did not.

Though the red beast curled at the back of Lucien's mind after the blatant rejection of the potential second-chance mate, its hackles raised. It was in the urge to fight for dominance to take over Lucien and shift midway just to find that woman.

"Where are you, Fairy?" Lucien's hoarse whisper pierced through the eerily silent night. His gaze fixated on the moon hovering over Fangs Ridge.

Since Lucien failed to know her name, he called her the next word that reminded him of her, a fairy. Though the world 'ethereal' popped into his mind more than once in a row, he could not possibly call her that.

Lucien looked down at his little brother. Whistling, a grin etched on his face. "You got to calm down, buddy. Don't worry. I feel that we will meet again with that Fairy woman soon."

With his canines flashing threateningly as he fixed his long red hair into a ponytail, his beast howled to chase after the woman who made him and his beast feel the same feeling when they first met their mate.

'To think I will feel this again after a long fucking time,' Lucien thought. He inhaled. His eyes closed as he savored her aroma – his version of aphrodisiac.

"Take your fucking time hiding, my fairy lady. The more you run away from me, the more I will want to hunt you down, even at the end of this fucking continent. And when that time comes, you will be writhing beneath me with your ass high up in the air, ready for the taking."

He inhaled like an addicted lunatic again before he opened his lust-driven golden eyes. "But this time, I have to vent this anger first."

On cue, a gigantic red-furred wolf appeared where Lucien was standing a few seconds ago. His cannibalistic mouth drooled as he faced the direction where the pack of Lucca's hunting mutts was coming from.

Awooo!

"WHY DID you do that, Lord System? Why didn't you pull me away after administering the pill? Why did you remain a third party for a long time, even after seeing the thoughts running in my mind? Haven't you heard my pleas? Was my voice not too loud enough? Were my tears not tear-jerking enough? Why?"

Sue Terin, who suddenly appeared atop a tree's branch, screamed her lungs out as she threw the fur ball away from her. Her obsidian eyes glinted menacingly while she glared at the scampering white fox below the tree.

She was furious and disappointed. After all, she chose to trust the system since she got nothing left anyway aside from hate.

"I was defiled before I died! Imagine a place where it is always night while waiting for a dawn that never comes – I have been there. I held onto faith and hope, but what did I get? My dignity trampled and my chastity ruined! Why?"

Tears glistened as Sue screamed her words with stifled sobs. "Because I live in a world where the weak get trampled on by the strong! Because I am a human in a world where beasts roam free, mages experiment with the non-mage folks, and vampires lurk in every corner! Because I am a woman, all they see is a brooding mare or a human furnace to strengthen them!"

Sue's shoulders trembled as she knelt on the broad branch. She punched her chest, hoping to ease the pain. "I am tired. I am so tired of this world. And I am so scared of the possibility that I will have to relive my past life again… Deep down, I am so lost, Lord System."

Jumping down to the ground, Sue stood two meters away from the unmoving white fox before her. She continued in a voice barely a whisper, "I am tired of being weak. I am tired of being… me."

Feeling aggrieved, the Lord System's ears hunched down. Fidgeting its little paws, its tiny head remained hanging low. The Lord System saw everything, and since the Lord System was connected with Sue, the Lord System also heard Sue's thoughts and felt Sue's emotions.

While the Lucien dude was enjoying his encounter with Sue, Sue, on the other hand, was the exact opposite of Lucien. The Lord System watched Sue's memories, and it was awful to relive the same emotions of her sordid past.

The Lord System knew it was the system's default, but even thinking this way did not ease his feelings. He was simply feeling sorry for her. He wanted to help Sue Terin overcome her fears.

"I am sorry, Sue Terin. I am sorry for your loss, and I am sorry because you have to experience that pain under my watch." Because the Lord System's physical body was small, it chose to leap toward Sue. "But Sue, have you ever wondered why this system chose you in the first place?"

Sue sniffed like a five-year-old child – so uncharacteristic of her yet so innocent.

"Because you heard my dying plea, so you took pity on me?"

Sue wondered for a moment, but ever since she woke up, she was rained with information and events that kept her mind in a state of overdrive until the Lucien Kissing Incident happened.

The Lord System's physical body of a small white fox hugged Sue's right leg. Its tiny limbs barely hugged Sue before it looked at her with glistening, clear eyes.

"No. You are absolutely wrong. It is because you are the last descendant of the Human Race, Sue Terin. You are the last person to use the system, and you are the only one to use this among all the world's powerhouses."

A tiny paw patted Sue's leg in a comforting manner. "Sue Terin, this system is at your disposal to dominate this world filled with overpowered male pigs. Be the first queen that will rule them all."
