The morning started with a firefight. One after another, high-caliber gun shots were heard throughout the camp. It seems there was a war. The civilians heard the screams and ran everywhere.
The senator's men surprised the soldiers in the camp and attacked them. Due to the unexpected event, the soldiers were not able to prepare. Many of them were killed. Their barracks where they were sleeping were blown up. Those on duty at the posts and some active military personnel in the vicinity were killed. Others were lucky to be able to fight but they only delayed their end. Since they no longer had a direct commanding officer, some of them fought against each other. The senator's men singled them out one by one.
