"Please go away," Elian told Alya.
The girl tilted her head and blinked several times. "What?"
"Please go."
"I thought you'd be glad to see me."
"I am. But I need to do this alone."
Jaex let out a boisterous laugh and looked at Alya. "Help him if you want, he'll need all the help he can get anyway."
Elian gave the captain an unfriendly look back. "Do not be so sure. This fight is just beginning."
"Whatever you say, boy."
Elian turned to look at the girl. "Let me fight alone."
"It's okay. But if I see that you need help… I will intervene."
Elijah nodded.
Jaex wasted no time charging at the boy, swinging both of his swords at the same time. Elian used the gauntlets on his armor to block the slashes. Sparks flew.
'This guy is too fast.' Jaex's metallic body, the legendary relic of his, gave him superhuman speed. Was that all the power the captain had?
'Perhaps he can increase my speed.'
