Dristan along with Lyne and Scud went to the Command Office where the dialogue would happen. Even though they are young, there's no fear or anxiety can be found in there expression as if they have already experienced talking to someone who had high powers and authorities. The soldiers whom they met going to the Command Office were bewildered by there appearance, since everyone knew who they are. The three of them wore their Black Beret formal uniforms - a black trench coat with three belt design on the right arm and two belts with chain on the waist, pair with black pants and black matte leather boots, along with a black beret topped with single red feather on the side. Those uniform were Transmog with close to zero, minimal usage of MREN.
As soon as the three of them entered the Command Office, they felt the tension of everyone inside. One of the people there, escorted them to another room which was a conference room. There is Mayor Sebas, General De Luna, Lieutenant General Bautista, Colonel Patiño whose are familiar faces and the new one were Brigadier General Cordova, Major Serrano, and Major Ramos. Also there are people from the local government unit aside from Mayor Sebas who are sitting behind him. On the corner of the room there are two people sitting infront of two laptop units, that they guess are technicians for the dialogue.
General De Luna stood up and greeted Dristan. Even though they only met once, De Luna was unfazed as he greet him. Dristan answer back with a smile. Dristan knew that they need to break the tension in order to have a good dialogue or else everything will be amiss. De Luna shook hands with Dristan as well as to Lyne and Scud and guides them to their own chairs.
"Good day to the three of you - Dristan, Lyne, and Scud. First of all, in behalf of everyone here in Apo Bunker, I, Sebas D. is thankful for everything you did in the past week. Not only you help our soldiers to defend everyone here in the bunker but also for defeating the Demons especially the Infernal Being which resulted into closing one of the portals in the city. That was no ordinary feat and it might be the first time in the history of humankind to shut off a portal."
Mayor Sebas benevolently started the meeting.
"As we start our meeting, I would like to inform you that this meeting, all conversation will be recorded via audio and will be inscribe. All response on your side will be respected and shall not be dictated by anyone here in the room." [Mayor Sebas]
"Of course, that's how we trusted you on every information that you will be sharing to us."
The Mayor added.
"In behalf of the three of us, we appreciated your invitation for this open dialogue with us. I hope everyone here will be open to whatever topic we will be discussing here. Also, Ms. Lyne will be the one who'll preside on our side on regarding the general knowledge about MREN."
Dristan calmly replied.
Everyone in the room was astonished on how calm the three of them even they are surrounded with high rank officers and authorities.
Lyne started the discussion with the basic knowledge regarding MREN. It has three categories which are the Summoner-Type, Wielder-Type, and Charlatan-Type. The origin and on how to activate MREN was still unknown. Some say in order to activate the MREN the user must felt a heavy emotion or trauma, some says that users should undergo a death defying experience, and some says that it was hereditary or inheritance but all of these are not certain. Not everyone could activate MREN and that's what Lyne strongly said.
"There is something I am curious about the three of you. Well, this is kinda personal but how the three of you, MREN Users which you said is rare, met up? Though you are free not to answer this."
Lieutenant General Bautista asked.
The question was not in correlation to the main discussion, Dristan knew that they will ask for it, to measure on what are the lengths the three of them can be trusted. Dristan knew that Lyne was intelligent but impulsive by nature. He saw that Lyne was hesitant to disclose any information regarding their past but Dristan knew what they should to, so he speak up.
"Well, there are some of you that knew we are a group called - Black Berets. It wasn't just your typical gung-ho group. We are associated with the underground society."
"Underground society?"
General De Luna wonders.
"Gangs, Mafias, Chinese Triads, Yakuza, and as such is what I mean of underground society. However, what you knew about them was just the facade. There is more about us. Whether you believe it or not, the underground society could overthrow the world government in just a matter of time, and maybe there is someone here might know the answer."
Dristan replied.
"It is because of MREN Users?"
Mayor Sebas speculated.
"Correct, the leaders of each group aren't just in their position because they had money and fame but because they are strong MREN Users. What ties them from not rampaging in the surface it's because of these faction leaders who hold them."
Dristan answers.
"At what certain degree all of these information is correct? These information might be fabricated since there is no way we could know is this is true."
Brigadier General Cordova questions with a doubt on his face.
At that moment, Lyne was vexed. Her aura pours out which is visible to the naked eye of everyone.
"HOW DARE YOU INSULT US BY SAYING IT WAS FABRICATED..."
Lyne uttered but it was clear she was furious about it.
The aura filled the room and it became suffocating to everyone who was not a MREN User.
Immediately Dristan and Scud stopped Lyne by posing their hand infront of her, since it will be dangerous to everyone in the room if she ooze out more aura. Even the people outside the room could feel it.
Lyne closed her eyes and slowly dispersed her aura inside the room. Everyone gradually regain their breathing. Lyne apologizes but again she told everyone that any insult to Dristan or to the Black Berets will not be tolerated.
"SEE! This why I told you that we need to rein them! They are dangerous! We are certain that they are mons -"
BAAAANG!**
The Brigadier General allegedly spoke out but his head was forcefully shoved into the table by General De Luna who was at his side by using only his right hand before the Brigadier General could finish his word.
"YOU'VE GONE TO FAR CORDOVA!"
General De Luna roared as he slams the Brigadier General's head in the conference table.
"We are terribly sorry Sir Dristan, Miss Lyne, and Sir Scud for his atrocious remarks on you. I, De Luna, with my power and authority will do anything to forgive everyone of us in this room."
The General added as the head of the Brigadier General drips blood on the conference table.
Dristan and Scud were shocked on how the General handle things but also they were amazed on how eagerly he wants to forge connections with them. As of Lyne she almost killed the Brigadier General if not for General De Luna who taken action.
"Should we continue our meeting or should we postpone it to another time?"
Dristan asked.
"I'm afraid that we don't have the leisure to postpone this meeting, how about we take a break?"
The General suggested.
"That's not a problem to us if you want to continue. Also Lyne, take a break outside. Your animosity still reeks here. People might get uncomfortable." [Dristan]
"I could go with you Lyne if you want?"
Scud proposed.
"Ok... I just take a quick break until I cool off. No need go come with me Scud, I'll just go to comfort room for awhile. Just be here with Dristan." [Lyne]
"For those who doesn't want to take part with the discussion of MREN Users you are free to leave the room. I won't force anyone here to take part with it. If you are still hesitant about them then you can stay until this dialogue finishes but I won't tolerate the same behaviour with the Brigadier General."
Mayor Sebas forewarned the people of local government unit.
"Same goes to the military personnel here."
General De Luna said as two soldier goes inside the room and carry the Brigadier General to the infirmary in the fifteenth level of the Apo Bunker.
As soon as the two soldiers who carried the Brigadier General left; Lyne left the conference room afterwards.
"Well, I am one of the people who is still hesitant to trust the MREN Users but I want to stay here and hear everything what they will say until the end; and don't worry General I won't cause ruckus here like the Brigadier General."
Major Ramos impishly said.
Also none from the local government unit left the room though they shared the same sentiments as Major Ramos.
