A few days had passed since Chan bought his new house in Dia, communicating with Sa Go through a messenger hawk, Sa Go informed Chan that he had successfully been registered as the homeowner for his house.
Chan had been clueless as to what had been going on in the capital, as he had been enjoying life in a small town. The higher-ups in Biyou's military had been trying to find Chan to recruit him into their commands. The capital had been in a frenzy as many people were tasked to find Chan, "The spearhead of the Wiki invasion,".
( Knock! Knock! )
Just finished cooking, Chan had just taken a bite from his vegetable stir-fry before being interrupted by someone knocking on his door.
"Ughh," said Chan as he put down his food, annoyed.
( Knock! Knock! )
Chan was walking towards his door and said, "I'm coming." before opening his door.
( Creak! )
The person standing on the other side of the door was in full light-green armor and carried his weapons, accompanied by two other men behind him.
"Are you, Sir Chan?" asked the man in front of Chan.
"Yes, I am," Chan replied.
"We had been given the order to escort you to the capital to meet the crown prince, finding you was not an easy task also," the man told Chan.
Chan thought to himself, "Oh yea, I forgot to tell Ca that I moved.".
"Give me a second to eat my food and I'll be right out," Chan told the man.
"Sure thing, just be out whenever you're ready," the man replied to Chan politely as he knew Chan was a VIP.
Quickly eating his food and getting ready, Chan walked with his escorts to their carriage as they head off to Mas. He also left his weapons behind as he knew he didn't need them.
The hour-long ride to Mas was very slow as Chan noticed that his escort looked like they didn't want to talk with him, so they rode in silence before reaching the royal palace.
Going up the palace steps and walking through the corridor with his escort, they eventually got to a door before stopping.
( Knock! Knock! )
"We have arrived with Sir Chan!" said one of the escorts.
"Let him in!" said a voice from inside the room.
Chan recognized the voice as it was Ca's voice.
( Creak! )
The door opened and Chan could see Ca sitting in a throne-like chair without the gold and jewelry designs, as it was only made out of wood. The room was empty with no chairs except for the chair that Ca was sitting in, which was at the opposite end of the room to where Chan was standing at.
Ca had on very fancy noble clothes on, he was in an all-white long silky suit. On each, his left and right stood his two guards.
( Thumph! )
The door closed behind Chan as he was the only one allowed in and not his escorts.
"Quite the suit you got on, crown prince haha," Chan laughed as he finished his sentence.
Ca got up from his seat and walked towards Chan and said, "Nice to see that you're still alive haha." as they did their handshake.
"You know you caused a huge commotion in the capital as every man with power in the military was looking for you," Ca informed Chan.
"What do you mean?" Chan replied with a laughing smile on his face.
Laughing with Chan, Ca told him, "Everyone is looking to recruit you, as your contribution in Wiki had become a huge talking point in the military. You're being held as the "super rookie" of the military. Thankfully my men were able to get the information that you bought a house in Dia and made it classified or else your house would've been bombarded with non-stop recruiters.".
"I offer my thanks then, as that would've been really annoying," Chan, thanked Ca.
Ca looked at the guard behind his right shoulder and said to Chan, "If you truly want to thank me you should accept our offer.".
The guard that Ca had just looked at, came up a little bit and told Chan, "My younger brother is a captain and third-in-command of general Wa Gi's group of soldiers. I would like to request that you join his group and learn under him. It is a selfish request of mine, but this would benefit you and the prince as Wa Gi is the only general that met and swore loyalty to the prince.".
Ca added on to the statement of his guard, "Originally, I wanted you to learn directly under Wa Gi, but if we do that, the queen's followers will make a big mess about me giving you power without any reasons to and that will put a huge target on your back.".
"Why would they complain, aren't you the rightful crown prince?" Chan asked Ca.
"Right now, I'm only protected by those who are extremely loyal to my father. Those who want more power and higher status are clinging to the queen as they know my father is extremely sick. Many kingdoms in the past had faced a rebellion and I'm aware of the queen hating me as I'm not her child. If I don't have a strong enough backing soon, my life and the life of the Biyou kingdom will cease to exist once my father passes. I know I'm asking for a tall task, but help me and I'll help you," Ca told Chan.
"Yea, yea. I get it, what you thought was a blessing turned out to be a curse and you need me to save your butt once again. You know I can't let my student die before me," Chan said with a smile on his face.
"I knew I can always count on you," said Ca.
After finishing their conversation, Chan was escorted out of the room and taken to a nearby inn to spend the night there as he was scheduled to have a meeting with Fen Ku's younger brother the next afternoon.
Seeing Chan leave the room, the guard that was originally standing on the left of Ca said to Ca, "Young lord, I know he is your friend, but I think he is too rude in the manner in which he talks to you with.".
"What are you talking about, Oto. He is more than just a friend, he's my master and brother. When I had no one in my life that I could depend on, other than my mother. Chan was the only one who cared about me. He did not only teach me things, he feed me on days when I was starving. So tell me Oto, if you were in my shoes, would you be offended by how he talks to me?" Ca told Oto.
"I'm sorry, young lord as I spoke too soon before you told me more about the relationship the two of you shared," said Oto.
The guards tasked to watch over Ca were soldiers that the king trusted the most. Ca's guards were Fen Ku and Oto Mao. Both Fen Ku and Oto Mao both served the general, Rashi Biyou. Rashi Biyou was the uncle of the king, Rashi died 5 years ago in battle, which is why Min Spo was promoted.
Rashi and the king had a unique uncle and nephew relationship, as Rashi was only 2 years older than Leo, the king of Biyou.
The two grew up together and were basically best friends. Knowing his chance to become king was slim as he had an older brother by 20 years, Rashi grew up wanting to protect his nephew, King Leo.
When Leo became King, Rashi already had a following in the military, Rashi and his men swore loyalty to Leo, so after Rashi's death, his men followed their leader's wish and continued to protect the king and his family.
