Soon enough, we arrived at Barry's house, which seemed like a symbol of relief. "Alright, you guys have a good night," Mimb said, as we all exited the vehicle.
Barry and Hans went straight for the door, but something inside of me burned, compelling me to turn around to ask him one last question.
"So, you know how you said you've never seen the sunset?" I asked. "When were you kidnapped or born in Raven's Village?"
"Heh, those are basically the same thing," he said, chuckling. But his eyes softened into a regretful gaze, as he sighed. "I've never seen my parents, or at least I don't remember what they look like. The only memory I have of them was fire. That's it."
"Really?" I asked. "Why?" Mimb sighed. "Raven's Gorge sometimes likes to aggressively gain residents. Sometimes they go to nearby houses, and start fires, and take the families inside. Sometimes they'd kill the parents, but keep the child because—well—they're young."
