Dr. Mord looked around, as if he was waiting for something—Charlie Company—to arrive. "Come out, Charlie," he said with a laugh, but there were no words coming from his mouth.
Then he started to laugh hysterically again. "The rest of your friends are taking a long time to arrive," he said, checking his watch for some reason, but there was nothing there. "They'll be here in a couple of minutes though." He started to laugh hysterically again. "That's all the time I need."
I was afraid, worried at their arrival.
I didn't want to die. I was terrified of what Dr. Mord would do to them.
Then I felt a hand touch my shoulder.
It was Jones' hand.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine," he said, right by me with his face drenched with sweat, but still smiling. "We're going to get you out of this."
