People began to leave and the emcee motioned for her to wait in the waiting room in the back. Two men in suits approached her and guided her back to where she was held captive earlier. Except now, the room was empty. They already removed the chains from her hands and her feet were starting to feel okay now.
"Wait for the man who bought you for tonight to come here." one of the men instructed.
She nodded and waited for them to leave.
When she heard the door clicking, Asteria forced herself to run to the door and planned to escape. She struggled against the doorknob, fumbling on it.
Damn, they must have locked it.
Grabbing a pin from her hair, she bit it and tried to form it towards the keyhole.
Asteria couldn't help but think about it for a minute.
