Asteria woke up in a room in an unknown house.
A door to her right, a window across her as the sun glistened, and a side table.
Minimal designs are just enough for comfort. Or an overnight stay.
No..judging from the structure, it is an inn. She blinked, adjusting to the sudden brightness and she spotted Krajner beside her.
"You're awake."
She glared at him and hit him in the arms as she recall him hitting her before she fainted, "How dare you do that to me!"
"I apologize I had to do that, your highness." He then kept glancing at the door, "I managed to get the royal guards asleep and escape. Now let me bring you to where the king is sleeping now."
Asteria blinked, the king?
"Tell me, Krajner. Who's side are you really on?"
Krajner looked at her, "Side? I only side to what's best for the future of the kingdom." Was his reply.
So that means he is loyal to not the king, but to the kingdom.
