The rosars of the beasts on the fist layer resounded through the cavern.
"Why are we here? Shouldn't we have made it to floor two by now?" The first time adventurer asked, her face contorted into one of an impatient deminor.
"Patience, it is dangerous to rush through any layer' The generic looking, brown haired adventurer said with annoyance.
"This is floor one what could possibly happe..."
A large bee creature buzzed above them, scaring Fiona, the impatient mage had a crippling fear of insects, but managed to peep out a question.
"W-what was t-that?"
"The bee?' The adventurer, Gray let out a hardy laugh. When he stopped laughing, he paused for a moment, as if alerted.
The bee hadn't left, it was silently observing, but Gray went on,
"The bees are the weakest creatures in the dungeon, unknown to most, these creatures have the largest wars, that you could ever imagine. "
Fiona was puzzled, who could they have wars with?
"With what?"
Gray didn't understand what she was asking for a moment, but replied almost instantly.
"Themselves."
Fiona didn't ads anymore, as it seemed Gray was in deep reminiscence. Of what she didn't know. After a while Gray spoke.
"We should hurry, the information said that the bear is injured"
They sped up, Fiona couldn't help but glance back, meeting the gaze of the bee, but she quickly turned her head,
For whatever reason, a shiver crawled down her spine.
-------------------------
One quickly navigated the forest, after encountering the weirdens creatures it had seen, it hurried on.
'Left'
'Left'
'Righ t'
One hastily made it back to the syrup plant, there was another trio of bees, their small size and limited strength made it obvious they were foreign.
One quickly dispatched them, they attempted to fight back, but were nowhere near the level of the vines it had encountered.
It used the sharp tip of its stinger to cut off another pot of syrup, the last one had already grown back.
It also didn't forget to sacratice the biomass to the plant. The plant greedily absorbed the nutrients, and started to twitch as if thanking it.
Once it weaved through the underbrush, it found some hive members, and a much larger ones at that.
A roar crossed the cavern, it was slightly concerning, given the distance, but since the hive already had over a hundred members, it shouldn't be a problem.
As One continued on the journey home, dances of distress spread like a wildfire.
-------------------------
Three was a busy bee, Three had to manage all the food supplies, mother was impressed by its level five pollen gathering skill level and called upon its experience.
Three couldn't be happier, it was able to make the hive thrive more, the newly added worker bees were very skilled at giving advice as well as constructing the hexacomb structures, the previous hive had many cracks, and twisted in the wind, but now, with their frightening intelligence, they had stabilized the structure and insulated the brood chambers, which was very good, since new brood would sometimes die of the cold, this rarely happened, as the queen had put the best of the best into every member of the colony, this made Three even more loyal to the queen.
Though, just as Three was giving instructions to a gathering trio, an injured bee flew in wobbly patters to the nearest entrance, Three quickly rushed over, seeing as how the bee constantly danced the moves of danger, it was obvious that something must have made such an injury.
The distress call radiated throuought the hive, the workers immediately started reinforcing the newest pieces of the hive, rapidly a shell of silicone like was encompassed the hive, it was the product of the innate level five honeycomb making skill.
As the hive prepped for a large scale battle, a deep tremble ran throuought the land, it was the largest creature on this level, the floor one boss,
The Iron Honey Bear
----------------------
One had almost gotten back, when a deep rumbling appeared behind it, as One quickly swiveled around, a gargantuan figure hushed at it, the size of the hive times twelve, this enormous creature certainly wanted its biomass!
'Protect the hive!' Its very spirit exploded with fighting intent!
It met the figure head on, and instantly got hit by its desk sized paw.
The force made it question its existence,
'Can you even beat this thing?!'
It instantly cut off the thought, it will sacrifice its life for the hive. No questions are ablw to questions its true purpose.
Its cracked carapace and the nasia of having its stinger being hit so hard hurt its mind, the endless screeching only worsened its mental state.
As it rushed for another attack, it readied its trusty stinger, the strongest part of it,
'This must work, no, it will work'
It flew with all its strength, and stabbed with the force of a bullet.
Nothing, not even a response.
The bears fur was obviously made for the purpose, besides being very strong on its own, the metal plate like skin instantly cracked its stinger, the sheer amount of pain was immeasurable.
It certainly couldn't beat it, wait what's that?
It was injured, slices were taken out, and it wasn't in hibernation, as it usually was much fatter, the instinctual knowledge blasted throuought Ones brain.
To had to divert it, but how?
It scrambled for anything to use, until it came up with an idea.
The syrup, honey bears like anything sweet, it would only work for a while, but that was enough.
It quickly grabbed the bucket of syrup, and flew crookedly towards the bear, when bears speed was a lot faster than it expected, for something of its size.
The syrup instantly got I the bears attention, as it lunged, One dropped the bucket, the syrup splattering in the ground, site bear hastily lapped it up, ignoring all else.
One could see its frame physically swelling, it had to be a skill, and that was not good news for the hive.
A deep thirst appeared in the enemies eyes, staring at One, the bear desperately leaped towards One.
Not expecting an attack, the nauseated bee struggled to avoid it, and in an attempt, dependingly dove to the ground.
The bears eyes turned a crazed red, its flurry of attacks made it obvious that it had lost its self.
Still after a few rounds, One was beat, its wings were torn, and its carapace was crushed beyond recognition, just as it was about to lose consciousness,
