Morning
Collins and Laura's place
"Congratulations, too bad I couldn't make it to the party."
"Uh huh, you missed a lot, how I wish you where there." Collins chuckled.
"The party rocked hard, wasn't it?" Running his fingers through his hair, Grayson smiled, "Ryan is now a man."
"And a husband as well." Lifting his glass of wine up, Collins added, "Cheers to that."
Clicking his glass on his, Grayson took a sip from it. Taking a deep breath, he inquired, "Still annoyed I wasn't informed on time."
"Man, don't blame me for that. My daughter in-law planned it all." Collins crackled.
Raising his brows, Grayson inquired, "Anastasia did the wedding ceremony?"
"Not just the wedding ceremony, she made provisions for the supplies, meals, drinks, reception, venue, and everything." Collins stated.
"Wow, that's a lot." Grayson shockingly gasped.
"Oh yes, I took pictures of the ceremony." Taking his phone out of his pocket, he showed couple of elegant pictures to him.
Taking the phone from him, Grayson gasped, "Woah this is extravagant, how did she managed to do all of this alone? She should have at least told Ryan about her plans."
"When I scolded her for taking the responsibility alone, she said she had to do it in a surprising way because Ryan doesn't allows her to temper any of her money. He always want to be in charge of everything." He sighed.
"And Ryan never had a hint concerning this?" Looking at the phone, he started swiping over, "Anyway, it's luxurious just like people in our society would want an occasion to be–hang on a sec," Adjusting his glasses, he intently zoomed the photograph. "Who is this?"
"Let me have a look." Peeping through, Collins narrowed his eyes, "Oh that's Sebastian and his girlfriend Jin-joo." Leaning on his seat, he smiled, "Do you know the popular Korean rapper–"
"Empress Jee?" When he nodded his head, Grayson raised his brows and gasped, "Is she Sebastian's woman?"
"Yes Gray, though they recently started dating."
Holding back the tears which were almost escaping from his eyelids, Grayson looked at the picture, "My son is now a grownup man just like Ryan."
"You know, when you said it was ten years ago you two last spoke, was it truly ten years ago? Because I can't remember you keeping that from me as a secret." Collins remarked.
Slowly shaking his head, he cocked his head to one side on his rested elbow. "Collins, right now my head is uploaded with lots of mysterious stuffs I can't tell. I do remember that you had my permission during the handover of the company."
Sitting upright, he explained, "You know I couldn't see him in person let alone talking to him. For my position to still remain active and intact in the company, I had to ask you to do the handover on my behalf or else I would have been dead by now."
"Why are you talking about death?"
Helplessly shaking his head, he sighed, "With everything I did in the past, Sebastian is capable of gunning me down. Precisely speaking, I haven't talked with my son for over twenty years now. We haven't called, chat, talk, meet, nothing at all."
Running his hands through his face, he added, "If I had handed my position to Liam, I would have been doomed, in fact our company would have collapsed by now."
"So Sebastian is the reason why you don't attend family functions and the yearly gala?"
Massaging his head, he nodded, "How do you expect me to show up in an occasion where Sebastian would be present as well? Do you want me to die?"
"Now I understood Petra's points."
Lifting his head, he adjusted his seat to the table. Placing his elbows on the table, he widen his eyes and inquired, "You saw her? When? She–she has been avoiding me, infact she added my number to a blacklist box."
Taking a sip from his glass of juice, Collins shrugged his shoulders, "She was at the party yesterday."
"So what did she say?"
"She's furious. I didn't got the chance to prove anything because she didn't let me. Grayson, Petra is currently wild. I won't advise you to take a step towards her." He answered.
"But she–when she left the mansion I tried to reach her but–" Burying his head on the table, he sighed.
"Do something about this. Laura is helping too. I hope Petra listens to her as soon as possible and gives a feedback."
"Didn't she give you feedback for me?"
"Of course she did." He chuckled. "She said I should tell Mr Grayson Flynn that she would never forgive him and she hate him for everything he did to her and the kids. Simple!" He exclaimed.
Helplessly shaking his head, he sighed in dejection, "I guess I'll have to reap what I sowed."
