"Hey man, what's up?" Calvin inquired before grabbing a glass of wine. Uncorking it, he poured from it into a glass cup and took a sip until half, "You look troubled, is anything the matter?"
Placing his elbows on the table, he ran his hands through his face and sighed, "Where is Nelly?" He ignored his questions and inquired. The second person he cared for, is his one and only sister.
"I dropped her off at Ryan's place." Sitting on the barstool, "Dude, you look downcasted, is there something behind your outward expression?" When he did not say anything, he insisted, "You can share it with me, I'm gonna be your future brother in-law, who knows."
Thinking for a while, "Mom has started pressuring me."
"Okay, so what's the aggravating topic?"
Taking a deep breath, he ran his fingers through his hair, "She wants me to get a girlfriend."
"Get a what?" Calvin seem super excited to hear that. Damn its the first time to hear his boring friend mention the word girlfriend. He has never welcome that syllable in his life before. "So what was your response? Seb, don't tell me you knock her off."
"Are you insane? She's my biological mother, the woman whom gave birth to me, so what odd reason will make me ignore her?" He frowned. Keeping quiet for a while, he sighed, "I tried to tell her that I'll think about it."
When Calvin gave him a deadpan look, he defended, "Come on now, don't give me that look, you know how much I get busy these days. Now tell me how would a busy man like me had time to bump on a woman."
"Yo, explain to me how did I manage to hook up with your sister if I'm not busy as well."
"Cal, I don't know, perhaps you two went to the same college so how do you want me to know the in and outs of your first meeting, let alone your relationship?"
"I understand your point Seb, but we are humans and we ain't getting younger by the day." Patting his shoulders, he advise, "You are my friend, its not fair if I don't give you some hints."
"Hints?" Sebastian laughed, revealing his perfect white teeth. His sudden hilarious expression made Calvin frown and wonder what's wrong with him. Is not like he said something funny, so what's amusing him?
"Seb be serious,"
"Of course I am being serious Calvin." Clearing his throat, he put on a serious face, "Ryan and Donald has also told me the same thing, but you see, is just that–" Trying hard to justify his inner expression, "I am not that type of man who flirts or do dirty stuff with women."
Rolling his eyes, Calvin knew how incorruptible Sebastian is. With all the billionaires he had, with all the achievements he has made, and the highest of all, with his good-looking handsomeness, a million of women could easily que on his feet, even if he was wearing just rags or being a poor ratchet man. Women would still drive crazy and cling on him.
But does he see all of that? No he doesn't, he is here busy killing himself and getting addicted to work, work, work and nothing but work and business. Like seriously, does he want to die as an eligible bachelor?
"Sebastian, there are millions of women dying to have you on their beds. Some even wants you to be the love of their life." When he did not say anything and focus on his drink, he frowned, "Like seriously, I want you to be honest with me. Are you happy to be a single man?"
Smirking his lips, he tilts his head towards him, "Calvin, I'm sorry to say I can't answer your question right now. And secondly the only thing that matters to me right now is mom, Nelly and business."
"Fine, its your life but make sure you extend this family before you disappear out of nowhere. I don't want whereby aunty Petra will start regretting she gave birth to you."
Narrowing his eyes, "What do you mean by that statement?"
When Calvin saw the burning furnace in his eyes, he quickly reframed his statements, "No–well umm–I was just saying–yes business," Waving a finger like he just remembered something important, "Ah, business, Aunty and Nelly are the first to-do list." He grinned.
Helplessly shaking his head, he flashed his brows and sighed.
