The next day.
After breakfast and other morning rituals, we peruse social media for anything big that's happening in Atlanta right now.
And… there's a post about an accident that happened in the Northwest District, just as we were heading home to sleep.
The post reads…
"Last night, at around midnight, I witnessed a guy in a bike get run over by a speeding car. Dude literally flew out of the bike. It was terrifying. This happened in front of the doughnut restaurant in Uptown Mall.
"No police officers responded, I think. Just some NWD security guards and marshals. About 12 of them. And they were adamant that people weren't allowed to take videos. They scolded a rider from a motorcycle passenger service and screamed 'Do you want to be dragged into this mess?' at him. Is it true that the public can't take videos of situations like this?
"An ambulance responded eventually. Hope bike dude is alright."
Ouch.
