Grant Park.
The oldest park in Atlanta and the fourth largest one in the city.
It is known for being adjacent to the equally historic Victorian neighborhood.
Here is where I will be with myself, hoping to get that needed spark of inspiration to write a song of my own.
With the serene antiquity surrounding me…
My mind trails back to high school.
To where I lost my friend Tara due to a case of mistaken identity.
To where I would deal with the absurdly powerful student council.
To where I would enjoy foundation week and its accompanying cultural festival.
To where I would spend lazy afternoons just staring at my seatmates, or even the sky beyond the window, while the teacher droned on.
And then, I found one particular moment.
When I was just casually walking around, I saw some students carrying heavy things.
Piles of books, 5-gallon bottles filled with water, even CRT televisions.
