Once the ribbon-cutting ceremonies are over, throngs of fellow con-goers rush towards the entrance in an orderly fashion, hoping to get first dibs on everything.
And as complete beginners to convention culture, we just chug along with the motions.
But still, Leigh and Aurora, who are decked in the same casual clothes as me (we three have no plans on cosplaying, by the way), still want to make sure they don't break off from me in any way, and so they cling to my arms as tight as they can.
Alright, since the convention is just starting, let's first check out the booths.
Right out of the gate, we can see several anime distributors' booths, all peddling their DVDs and Blu-rays of the anime they license for domestic consumption.
Since we are the most casual of the casuals, we just have to buy the anime based on the synopses and the visuals we see on the packaging.
Also, we prefer if the discs have English dubs on them.
