The "thicc" lady continues.
"And that's why I want to start fresh, here in Atlanta. You may never know, I could live the life I want without much inconvenience."
Leigh asks her, "So what do you wanna be?"
"A map maker and city planner. I have a degree in architecture, you see, but I was knee-deep in student debt, so I applied as a nurse first. I was at first enchanted by the really decent pay that could get me out of debt in just a year, but… when the 'anti-fun' people entered the scene, the pay essentially stayed the same even as the cost of living soared. They even turned down petitions for wage hikes, for some reason.
"And now, with them around, I… I just don't see the satisfaction in earning money from something I'm not passionate about. That's why I quit being a nurse and left that town.
"But even with the promised opportunities Atlanta has, I fear it may be overrun by people who think the word 'fun' is immature and childish.
