"I think it's time you head home," I tell Odette.
"Why?" She frowns, looking at my brothers one by one. While they stare back at her, stuffing muffins into their mouth.
It's late evening and Caden's closed for the day, so they suggested we go have some drinks.
"Because we're on our way to the bar," I pause talking when Caden wraps his hand around my shoulder protectively as he glares at Odette like they are having a beef, "it's something we often do. But not to worry, they'll drop me off at the Nolan's Mansion."
"This wasn't our agreement-"
"You can join us if you want." Damon offers.
"No intruder needed." Caden flippantly interjects, sulking.
"Alpha Cahill will kill me if I return to the Nolan's Mansion without you." Odette persists, her voice growing rough with worry and exasperation.
