Two hours earlier.
"My Luna," My eyes flutter open to the sound of Sally's voice. "The ceremony has begun," she informs me, walking towards my bed.
"I won't be attending, Sally." I drowsily give her this response. Of course, I know today's the Annual Blackwood ceremony. I just want to stay here and not face hundreds of guests.
"Alpha Cahill wouldn't like that, my Luna." Sally persists.
For a moment, I wonder if I should just put up with the foul mood, dress up nicely and head out. But I've been having this dreadful feeling that tonight will not end well for me, that's why I choose to just stay here. I can hear the sound of music and the faint voices of people from afar.
"Sally?" I call out quietly, rubbing the back of my palm over my face as I sit upright, and take off the duvet, "can you do me a favor?"
