"I'm leaving, Cahill. I don't want to do this anymore," I hurriedly speak up because things are starting to get out of hand, with Cahill wanting to get into a fight with James because James, who has no idea it was all an act, proclaimed he wants to marry me.
"I will leave so I can have peace because staying here is of no use to me." Looking away from everyone, I rub the side of my arm. Now, this is all an act, but it's emotional to me because I can feel the sadness heavy in the air. Cahill is still glaring jealously and hatefully at his half-brother.
"You don't have to leave, Mathilda, I'll take you away myself," James tells me, rushing to my side immediately. Not even caring that Cahill might throw him over the wall with a punch again.
