Mathilda has never raised a hand on me before, this is the first time and it leaves me in a puzzled state. Her chest is rising and falling with force as her eyes remain fixated on mine, glaring with venom.
I wonder why she did that. It's just unbelievable that she could raise a hand on me. I can still recall on our wedding evening, she was so frightened to even look me in the eye. Her body trembled non-stoppingly, giving out that she was scared shitless of me. And now she's the exact opposite of that girl. No doubt the experiences she's had has brought about a change in her character.
Never in my life did I think I'd get slapped by someone as innocent as my wife. It's sort of amusing and shocking at the same time.
My jaw still itches from the slap and it sort of feels good that she touched me out of her own will. She's never touched me since the arrival of Theodora, and I wonder why she's so mad at me.
