"No. Jonathan, please don't let them. She will wake up. She has to. I have to tell her I love her. I never got to." Jackson said as tears came out of his eyes.
"I don't want to. I feel like if I do, I am murdering my mate and I can't do that. But what about my pups? As they grow, they will have to come here and see their mother and not understand why she doesn't talk to them. My wolf has spent every day since we have been here trying to reach her wolf and he can't. I have been mind-linking her every few hours hoping that one of these times she will respond. The pups cry and she shows no response. What if she is already gone and these machines are keeping her alive?" I said as I bent down and pressed my forehead against my beloved mate.
I needed her. She made me a better man. Without her, I was nothing. After a short while, the doctor came in to find out if I had made my decision. I just didn't know how I would make that decision. I loved her with everything I had and I wanted to grow old with her.
"Have we made a decision?" The doctor said and, without warning or being able to stop myself, I said yes. She pulled the plug.
Just then my wolf Lance spoke with such happiness. I got her to respond. Mate is still there. Lance said in my mind as he began to bounce around.
Get her to make Sophia wake up. I can't do this. I can't watch her die right in front of me. I need her by my side. I pleaded with my wolf. I knew he could understand how I was feeling. I was lost without her. My love, please come back to me. I know Bella is still there, so that means you are still alive. Please come back. Everyone in the pack is waiting to have their Alpha back. I felt someone's hand on my shoulder and when I looked to see who it was, it was my dad. He was looking at Sophia with a big smile on his face. I followed his gaze to see that she had lifted her hands and that her eyes were finally open. She had placed one hand on the pup I was holding and the other hand on Jackson's head. Jackson had his head lying on the bed after begging for her to wake up because he didn't want to lose her.
He looked up and smiled. "Hi," Jackson said as his smile grew even bigger before his eyes fogged up, showing that he was mind-linking someone in his pack shortly before Alpha Larry, Luna Cassie, and their pack doctor came in. Cassie came over and hugged Sophia. It is the first time since I have known Sophia that her sister has ever touched her in a loving way. I know Larry explained how Lindsey was not her real mother and how Sophia yelled at her to get her to see that it shouldn't matter and how Cassie didn't choose to be born to a She-wolf that was not Lindsey.
I laid the pup that looked most like Sophia down on her chest. "Luna Cassie, would you mind keeping him from falling?" I asked and Cassie nodded and placed her hand on the back of my son so I could grab the other one out of the crib that the doctor provided. After lifting my smallest pup, I walked over to Sophia so she could see her other. I watched as the doctor gently removed the tubes they had in her throat.
"Alright Luna, it will be difficult and maybe even painful to talk for a short while. Only speak when you have to, until this time tomorrow." The doctor said kindly.
"Doctor Lena, she hasn't got a clue what time it is even. She just woke up." Jackson said rudely. Sophia smiled widely as she looked back and forth between our two sons. After a few minutes, she pointed at their diapers, so I knew she wanted to know if she had sons or daughters.
"Maximus and Raphael," I said as she smiled even bigger. "I just don't know which one is which," I admitted.
"MMMM," she said as she pointed at the one that was on her chest.
"Maximus was born second. Raphael here was born first. I think we should give him a nickname so we don't get him mixed up with the Lycan, we should call him Max." I said and got another smile from my beautiful mate. "I will go tell the doctor their names so we can get the birth certificates going. I love you, please stay awake until I get back." I said before I leaned down and kissed my mate on the forehead.
Sophia's POV
I was in a dark room with a black wolf as my only companion. Every so often she would look off into the distance and she would let out a whimper. I could hear babies crying. I tried to run to the babies but no matter which direction I went I couldn't get out of the dark.
I could also hear the most wonderful-sounding voice talking to me. I wanted to talk back to this voice but I couldn't find the person. After a while of trying to find the babies crying or the voice, I stop and sit and wait for the one who has the voice to find me. There is nothing but darkness surrounding me. I try to get the wolf to talk to me but she just whimpers and points her ear in a curtain direction.
As we sat there, I saw another white wolf with emerald green eyes approach and the black wolf seemed to know this wolf. Perhaps it is her mate as she runs up to him and licks him. He is handsome, just like the black wolf. As the white wolf turns and approaches me, I begin to hear the most wonderful voice again. "The doctor suggested I take her off of life support." I hear and the white wolf lays down on his belly and puts his ears back and I get the feeling he knows what those words mean.
"What is it, boy?" I said and the wolf wags his tail and points his ears in the same direction the black wolf has. I decided to follow their ears. Running along, I begin to hear the same voice yet again. My love, please come back to me. I know Bella is still there, so that means you are still alive. Please come back. Everyone in the pack is waiting to have their Alpha back. Come back, please. I hear this voice in my head this time and I feel like I must run faster to get to the one to whom the voice belongs to. The black wolf was running alongside me with the white wolf racing out in front of me.
This must be what they wanted. They wanted me to follow them. Is the one who has that voice injured? How would I help him? As we ran, I found a light tunnel. I picked up my speed and suddenly I was surrounded by a bright light. After my eyes adjusted, I saw I was surrounded by people. On one side of me, a man was crying with a baby in his arms, and on the other side, another man was crying. Behind the man with a baby was another man who put his hand on the crying man's shoulder, causing him to look up before he looked at me.
