The Unfinding.
A mysterious criminal that sweeps away not banks, not jewelry or expensive collections but Artworks. A terror of the night that strikes at an indefinite time to whatever Gallery she deems worthy of her presence. Not a place was shared by this horrible criminal and yet no one was able to find this person.
"Are you trying to tell me that you don't know the identity of this... of this thief yet?" The chief inspector, Ivan asked. Upon hearing the news about the failure of the inspector who was sent to the crime scene, the man had already flipped over a table, it was something he did whenever he wanted to bend or release his anger. He was already fustrated as it was, "the criminal was in our hands and yet you let him slip away, from your tiny little hands." He said, holding up his hands and showing the empty palm to his subordinate. Five men who stood in a single line, including the inspector from earlier who already broke out in cold sweat. They stood at attention looking at the open space, they could not answer his question as the hot tempered Ivan fumed with anger.
A man on uniform walked inside in a haste, cutting into Ivan's anger speech. "Chief Inspector." He said pushing his face forward.
"What!" Ivan yelled angrily. The man stepped backwards as he flinched, he knew Ivan was in a bad mood but this was a worse mood, with his face turning red, hot breaths emitting from his nose unto the man's face and his body rising up and down. The Ivan before him was worse than just angry, he was enraged. ".....I .... I received a phone call." He stuttered from fear. Ivan flinched, everyone could see that he was scared of knowing the contents of that call, so much so, that they glanced at each other secretly with a small smirk on their faces.
"Who...?" He asked nervously.
"The Inspector General sir, and he has orders from the prime minister." The man said. Ivan took in a deep breath as he reduced to size, now the smirks on their faces could only reduce more and more.
Now as Ivan sizzled down, he could only collapse into an empty chair without a table as he had already destroyed one. "What are the orders?" He asked, caressing his river flowing temples as he closed his eyes.
"Um.. you see, the orders were... well." The man hesitated to speak, however at the glare of Ivan, he knew he had to speak if he knew what was best for him. The man looked away and sighed, having a look on his face that says, 'you'll regret this.' before opening his mouth. "Well he asked that all investigations halt, until 'HE' arrives."
Ivan snapped. He literally broken the pen he was holding in halves, standing from his chair abruptly forcing everyone to move back knowing just what sort of man this is.
"You." He said pointing towards one of his men. "Bring me a table." He commanded. The young man ran out of the room in a hurry into another room were a stack of tables were prepared. He made screeching, ear killing, sounds that made everyone present to clench his teeth, holding back how irritating it was in order to avoid being scolded.
Fit when the table had arrived, Ivan walked up to it and flipping it immediately, now he appeared much redder than before, if people could enhance their body size by just becoming angry then he sure took home the award.
"Curse you Jeremy." He cursed the man in a loud voice. Now even he had to bow his head to this young man.
Ah yes.
Who wouldn't have heard of the heroic tales of the youngest detective in the world. The child who single handled brought the murderer of his best friend to justice by carrying out his own private investigation at the young age of ten, was awarded by the prime minister himself for his heroic act of courage and strength, he really supported the phrase, 'Not all hero's wear capes.' However there were people who still wouldn't bow their heads to a younger person who they felt was inferior to him in terms of age and experience per se. Ivan would not accept to be placed below Jeremy who had recently been appointed as a detective, a position that hasn't lasted three years earning him the title of the youngest detective ever at the outstanding age of seventeen. That man now twenty had cracked cases that were considered impossible, and now, he was out to get the world most notorious artnapper.
