Two days later, the group had maneuvred around Honeypeak, and were getting increasingly closer to Shalantine Lake. By Raina's calculation, it would take them a day to arrive at the lake.
With that in mind, the group stopped for one final break. They planned to rest for an hour.
Kayne and Seth both logged out of the game and tendered to their real bodies. After explaining to Raina the importance of frequently connecting back to the real world, they managed to create a few minutes every day in their journey to log out of the game.
Raina didn't just wait after they left. She hunted a few squirrels and killed the howlers that pounced towards their camping. Setting a fire, she roasted the squirrel and took her portion of the food.
After twenty minutes, the two came back. They were given the remaining portion of roasted squirrel, to which they ate without complaint. As long as it was washed and skinned, they couldn't care more or less about anything else.
