Raina awoke to the chirping of birds. The lovely hymns of the feathered creatures reached her ears and brought her mind back to her surroundings.
She gazed around. What surrounded her was an expanse of green grasses. They danced around, following the movement of the wind. Yet, a strange sensation made Raina turn to her front. There was a narrow river about six feet away from her.
The border of the river grazed her feet, leading to the cool sensation that overwhelmed her body.
"Hmmm…"
Some strands of her hair got in her face. She opened her mouth and blew a gust of hot air at the strands. The tough strands were sturdy. It took her entire effort to blow them away.
"Ha. Finally!" Raina whispered with a smile on her face.
Suddenly, she heard splashes of water beside her. Looking towards a certain direction, she spotted Seth. The young vampire was without a shirt.
