Anas wanted to ask who had a voice just now, but she was afraid that Albert was angry that the man had already told her to shut up. There was a rush of steps getting closer and closer. Even if Albert kept the gun in his pocket, it would only make him die faster.
"I would like to ask for information regarding the robbery at house number 71. Do you know about that incident?" The burly policeman asked.
Albert just turned around after hearing the question. He was relieved, it turned out that the arrival of the police was not because they had discovered the fault of his leaked identity. Albert directly took a position to block Anas with his body.
"If you have anything to ask, please give it to me," Albert said.
The policeman glanced at Anas who was still facing the house.
"My sister is disabled," Albert said when he realized that the police were stealing glances at Anas.
"Ah, I see. All right." The policeman pulled out a small book and a pen. "So, do you know the robbery that happened last night at house number 71?"
"No. I just know now," Albert replied, he was a little surprised to find that his house area was infiltrated by loot. From today he will be more vigilant.
"Did you have time to see someone unfamiliar wandering around here?"
Albert shook his head. "No. I rarely go out of the house."
The policeman wrote something in his book and then turned to Albert. "Well, thank you for your testimony. Be careful and call 911 directly if there is anything suspicious."
Albert nodded. "Of course."
"Thank you." The policeman left Albert and immediately joined the crowd at the crossroads.
After confirming once again that the policemen had come not to meet or suspect him, Albert immediately put his arms around Anas to enter the house. He so remembered Josh's message asking that Anas also not wander around and be seen by many people. Albert locked the door and took off the coat. Maybe he will report this incident to Josh.
Albert walked into the kitchen and took a drink and then he glanced at Anas who was still silent by the door. The thick coat she was wearing seemed to drown the girl.
"Why are you just sucking?" asked Albert, after taking a sip of water.
"I... can already talk?" Anas asked quietly.
"Yes, you can talk. You can walk alone to the room, right?" Albert took off his shoes and kept them behind the window.
Anas nodded. "I've memorized this house."
"It's good."
"But I'm curious, are our neighbor's abominations?"
"It seems so."
"You are not afraid?" Anas asked.
"No. We just need to be more vigilant," Albert said, he walked into the room and returned with a gun. Albert put the weapon on the refrigerator.
He paced back and forth to check the door and window locks, but until 10 minutes later Anas did not move from his last position. Albert suddenly heard a sobbing sound. He turned his head and saw Anas holding back tears.
"You... why are you suddenly crying?" Albert asked, he was puzzled and surprised.
Anas did not answer and was busily refraining from winning.
"Hey! What's the problem?" Albert got up from behind the window and walked up to Anas. Yesterday the girl suddenly got sick to faint and had nosebleeds, now crying for no reason. Albert could never understand normal humans in general.
Anas shook her head, but her tears fell.
Albert was even more puzzled. He held both shoulders of Anas. "Are you sick?"
The girl shook her head.
"Are you tired because I was forced to walk?" Even if Anas said yes, Albert still wouldn't care. He just wanted to know why the girl was crying.
Anas shook her head again, this time she even sobbed.
"Then? Don't act like this, Anas. You cry because I forced you to go home or because I told you to shut up? Just tell me," Albert said, shaking Anas's shoulder.
The girl lowered her head to wipe away tears. "I'm just... scared."
Albert's forehead wrinkled. "Scared?"
Anas nodded. "I'm afraid your house is broken. That's scary news, Al. Let alone I'm blind, I wouldn't know if robbers were entering this house. I can't run to your room and wake you up. I will not be able to take part in guarding the house and you."
Albert was silent. He could understand that Anas was afraid of the news of their neighbor's robbery, but the girl also cried for fear of not being able to protect him. Anas would probably laugh if she knew who he was.
"Listen to me, Anas."
Anas raised his head directly.
"First, you are so ugly when you cry. So, stop and wipe away your tears," said Albert, who was lazy to see a woman crying. Noisy and making it uncomfortable.
The girl instantly wiped her tears quickly with a sour face.
"Second, you have to calm down. I will wake up if robbers are coming in. I'll make sure the robbers come in without ever being able to get out of this house. There is no need to be afraid," Albert said, firmly and confidently.
Fortunately, Josh also brought a silencer to the sound of gunfire. It could be used by Albert at a time when he was in a threatening situation.
"What do you mean that the robber won't be able to get out of this house?" Anas asked, clueless. Generally, people will immediately call the police, not keep criminals in the house.
Albert sighed. It was impossible to tell Anas that he would shoot or let the robber die slowly from inhaling smoke from the fireplace.
"Never mind, there is no need to think about it. The robbers will not enter our house. Take off your coat and go to sleep," Albert said.
Anas complied. She turned to her left and stepped slowly until she found the wall and then walked into the room. Speaking of robberies, Anas recalled how she met Albert two weeks ago. She couldn't see, but Anas was able to feel the awkwardness.
Albert's erratic attitude, ups and downs of emotions, and the man's way of speaking made Anas wonder. Who is the real Albert?
"Anas!"
The girl tiptoed as Albert shouted her name.
"Stay there." Albert put away the vacuum cleaner that was at the door of Anas's room. Almost the girl fell.
"There is something?"
"Yes. I've left it, please come in." Then Albert went back to his room. Anas walked in and closed the door slowly.
Albert is not like Peter who is sweet-mouthed and gentle but this does not necessarily make the man a bad person. Anas regretted that she had doubted the man even if it was only a few seconds.
Perhaps this is because Anas, who hasn't seen the world for a dozen years, makes the girl confused if something goes off the 'good' path as the father used to instill in her mind.
Albert is Albert. Not Peter or anyone else. Anas will appreciate the man from today.

"Hi, Albert! What's the matter of suddenly calling me?"
The phone call from Albert was greeted by Josh Frederic's carefree voice. Albert while confirming twice whether he called Josh or George?
"Are you busy?" Albert asked.
"If for you I'm never busy," Josh said, casually, but Albert was suddenly disgusted to hear it.
Albert turned to the right while carrying a large bag of food. The man was forced out of the house when the sun began to set because the foodstuffs had begun to thin. He turned his head right and left, making sure that no one heard him.
"Yesterday there were police coming here. He said they had just caught a robber from a house not far from my house. Have you made sure this neighborhood is safe for me and Anas?" Albert asked, he had only had time to report yesterday's incident?
"Police? Are you interacting with them?" Josh's voice turned straightforward.
"Yes. There was a policeman who suddenly came to me to ask for information. I don't see any veiled intent in the police behavior. I'm just worried that if this happens again and the police search every house and they find my gun, we'll be over," Albert said, screeching his voice as he passed house number 90.
"I understand what you mean, Al. Then did the police have time to see the girl's face?" Josh asked.
"No."
"It's good. Please obey my orders last night. Tomorrow I will go to Italy. Take it easy, your task of guarding the girl will be completed in a while," Josh said, returning enthusiastically.
Albert only paused. It can be seen that Josh is only interested in Anas, not in the story.
"Sir, trust me. Selling Anas is just a waste of time, the girl can't do anything. We'd better just put her in the orphanage," Albert said. For him, Anas should repeat the days in orphanages or socially than be the 'goods' of selling illegal organizations.
"Al, even if the girl is only made a slave by the owner, it's none of our business," Josh retorted. In fact, by the time he had already read Anas's identity file, it didn't shake his resolve at all.
"I have something to ask you again," Albert said. I don't know what plan Josh is preparing without involving himself.
"Go ahead."
"Why don't you tell me about iden—" Albert's voice hung in the air when he saw someone trying to break into his door. "Sorry, I'll call again later."
Albert immediately remembered Anas. Is the girl okay? Could it be that the girl had already awakened because of the sound that the person made? Anas must be very scared.
Albert kept the mobile phone in his trouser pocket and slowly, he picked up the gun in the inner jacket pocket. Trained to walk silently, he continued to approach the man in the black hat who seemed to have trouble unlocking his door.
"What are you doing, Sir?" Albert asked, sticking the tip of the gun behind the man's head.
