Chapter 8 - theives and beggars...

After a half hour of getting ready Loki and Kara emerge from the bed chambers, fully clothed.

Kara was dressed in a special dark purple backless dress, that allowed her wings to move freely. It was flowy with multiple layers and gold trimming. As an added bonus, Loki gave her an expensive looking crown that fits her head perfectly. It was gold and had a design of vines that were intertwined with beautiful polished amethysts that sprinkled ever so often. In the center of the crown design is a fairly large brightly polished topaz as the focal point near the forehead. Her necklace and bracelets were nothing to sneeze at either since they were both sapphire inlaid gold plate like design. Her bracelet was a gold cuff with large sapphire at its center, and her necklace was a gold crescent moon plate design that rested on her collarbone with a large emerald at its center.

As they were leaving the room, Kara couldn't help but fidget with her dresses sleeves as the

thought of meeting the mighty Odin Allfather had her on edge.

They walked down the long hallway for a while till they came across Thor leaning against a pillar with his arms crossed.

*(Why is that oaf here?) Loki thought grudgingly to himself.

Thor pushes off the pillar and began to walk over to Kara and Loki, "Brother! You found the missing songbird I see, and might I just say that you are looking lovely as ever Lady Kara." He says with a flash of a grin and a small flirtatious bow.

Much to Loki's dismay, Kara blushed at Thor's words and averted her gaze.

Yet, before the God of Mischief could do anything, out of nowhere a song entered Kara's head...it was melancholy in nature and was hypnotic to her. Her eyes suddenly went from purple to a bright gold as she turned almost robotically towards the balcony. Just as the song was growing stronger, Loki grew concerned as the song was not necessarily in her head. But, it was coming from a ship that was sailing on clouds.

"The king and his men, stole the queen from her bed, and bound~her in her bones~..." It was a massive ship and at the top of the mast was a black flag with a strange symbol in white on it, "Yo-Ho- all hands-, hoist the colors-high-heave ho, thieves and beggars... never shall we die-!"

As the singing grew louder so too did a strange thumping with their singing. For some reason Loki grew increasingly worried about the ship that was approaching.

That was when Kara scared both Loki and Thor by singing along, "some men have died ~ and some are alive ~ and all are a-sail on the sea~ and with the keys to the cage~ and with the god to pay~ we lay to sail to fiddlers grave"...

Loki was right to worry, since the ship that was approaching was a ship with the god Hermes on

it... the Greek god of thieves, and Kara's biological father
