Chapter 76 - You look tired

Yoon Nana spoke in a very low voice but Li Sina was quick to hear what she had said. Li Sina didn't say anything and acted like she didn't hear anything at all.

After dinner, grandma asked everyone to the livingroom. It appears the meeting was about to begin. I wasn't a member of the family yet so I asked Lu Jinho if I could sit this one out.

"Lu Jinho, can I go upstairs?"

He looked at me a bit confused as to why I was asking that.

"Why do you want to go upstairs already?"

"Well, I assumed this was going to be a family meeting so I thought I wouldn't be needed".

"I don't think that's the case. You should join us".

I didn't have any other reason so I followed him. When we got to the living room, everyone was seated and they all looked extremely serious.

"Well, I called you all here because I have something important to discuss"

As soon as I heard this, I stood up and everyone turned to look at me.

"Ehmm, I think I should excuse you all".

Grandma smiled.

"Thank you for your consideration Shin Suri but I don't think that would be necessary. As you can see, this isn't strictly family".

I turned around and understood what she was talking about. Both aunt Meng and Yoon Nana are not family, the are just family friends.

I sat back down but then, I felt someone's hand on mine. Of course, I already knew who's hand it was but I still looked at him. He looked like he was telling me 'I told you so' but it didn't look offensive at all.

"Alright, since we are all settled, I'll begin. I'm sure you all know, the business abroad is not going as I planned it...."

I was lost all I knew was they have a business and it wasn't going well.

'Why can't I leave? It's obvious I'm not needed. Gosh, this is so boring'.

Lu Jinho noticed that Shin Suri was uncomfortable and it looked like grandma wasn't ready to stop talking yet. It was obvious that she wanted to expand her business more than it looked now.

"I need to be somewhere grandma".

I looked at Lu Jinho and so did every other person in the room. He stood up and because he was holding my hand, I was dragged along with him.

He bowed and excused himself and also dragged me along.

"Hey, hey Lu Jinho".

I said in a low whisper but he didn't seem to be listening to me at all. Grandma seemed to be saying something but I didn't hear her at all I only saw her lips move.

"Well, I believe this meeting is over".

It was Li Sina who spoke and she immediately stood up. But before she could leave, someone spoke and everyone stood still.

"Stop right there Jinho".

It was Quin Li who spoke and I have never heard someone sound so majestically powerfully in my entire life.

Lu Jinho stopped for a while and Quin Li stood up and began moving towards him. When she got close enough, he turned around and looked at her.

"This is no way to treat your elders so if I were you, I'd go back there and sit down".

I was really hoping he'd let go of my hand right now. Although the meeting was quite boring, I'd rather be there than in front of this woman.

Lu Jinho looked at her for a while and it looked like he was giving it some thought. He moved closer to her ear so only she could hear what he wanted to say but he wasn't so low so it was easy for others to hear him as well.

"No".

I looked at him and I wanted to shout 'are you out of your mind?'

He took my hand and took me upstairs. As soon as we got to the room, I dragged my hand away from his and he looked at me with one brow raised.

"Are you out of your mind? Why would you do that huh? Go back, go back and apologize to your family now".

"I don't want to".

'Waaah, this guy sure does know how to annoy people with a straight face'.

I was thinking with my mouth wide open. He left me and began taking off his shirt.

"I'm going back downstairs to apologize on your behalf".

As soon as I got to the door, he held my hand and this made me look right at him.

"Don't you dare".

He sounded so cold it was obvious he didn't want me to do that but I did not understand why besides, this is the reason why he came here in the first place.

"Why are you doing this? We didn't come all the way to your family house just to make trouble did we?"

He left my hand, turned around, and continued to take off his shirt. I was beginning to get irritated by his arrogant attitude but the next thing he said made me feel like I had been poured cold water all over my body.

"You look tired, you should rest".
