It's the end of moon phases, in this season the Ultima of the Howling Valley will either hibernate in her hideaway or will get her face covered until the moon phase pass. This time, Gaia choose to do them later.
For some reasons most people don't understand, she usually spends time for herself stuff like this. She calls this resting. And for her resting includes seclusion, that's the time to gather herself and cultivate her energy. This is what she learned from the element she was born with - that even the strong should rest to become even stronger. She's following that mantra. Thanks to her Trainor in Scholaro.
Today is her second day of rest.
But it seems like her plans for today are not gonna work out for there is a sudden interruption. She saw her trusted servant rushing with a frightened face.
" What is it?" she inquired.
The servant's lips were shaking. And before she could hear a reply, a sound crashes in their midst. She was quick to raise a shield on them.
When the force faded, the face of the Lycan King was revealed in front of her.
" Why are you here?" Gaia asked. Her tone could invite an argument.
Rysher could have ravaged the place more but then the appearance of the Queen in front of him stunned him for a while, more so, enticing her curiosity.
Why is her face covered? He asked himself.
Rysher's eyes trailed to her hair that was plunging on her naked shoulder. And that almond eyes of her which were partially reflected by the cover on her face.
" What are you?" he asked Gaia instead of replying to her question.
She scoffed.
" Seriously?" Gaia's eyebrow raised.
" I'll ask you to pay for the damages you caused on my land!"
Rysher burst a laugh that appears like mocking her.
" Isn't it you who's gonna be paying here?" he exclaimed.
" Didn't you send an earthquake to my land?" Rysher asked in a way like interrogating her.
Gaia didn't respond she just lifted her chin, and turned her back.
Rysher hovered a force, moving some stones and debris without touching those with his hands. He did it to purposely block her way.
Gaia's face formed to clench.
She turned to him again.
" You know...wolves don't hibernate..." Rysher said in a sarcastic tone.
He looked at her from head to toes but his gaze was more of irony than admiration.
" What's that covering huh?" he mumbled and throw a wind on her to flip the satin cloth on her face.
His eyes widened.
It was as if everything at that moment seemed to move slowly.
The falling of her veil mask...
The gradual revealing of her face.
He haven't seen the keeper of the earth element yet and he didn't expect his first meeting with her would be like this.
It was as if his jaw went slack while his eyes stared wide at her in awe as her face was bared in front of her.
Her almond eyes were emotionless.
Her face was cold.
It was like he was looking at a blank wall puzzled by what she is feeling now. And now he had more questions about what kind of creature is the keeper of his element.
They were fighting yet her face says not a thing.
Her voice was angry yet it doesn't show on her face. She could sound emotional - angry and mocking but her eyes don't change.
It remains blank and without emotion.
Yet, all those didn't erase the fact of how alluring she is.
" Why did you send an earthquake to my land?" he asked her again.
Now his tone has cooled down.
But Gaia didn't reply. She just throws a glare at him, and again turned her back which pissed Rysher off.
" Heey!!" he yelled.
And cause her to freeze, unable to step more forward. With another flipped off his hand, Gaia was forced to face him. And again, another flip, he drag her near to him, so close that she was only an inch away from his face.
Still, her face was blank.
Not even anger can be seen in her.
And, that earthy scent of her that surges and wanes nearly took off his focus. His eyes trailed on her lips, and to her emotionless eyes.
There's no way she could be Cybele. The goddess has eyes that could melt a thousand hearts, a smile, and lips that could captive anyone. He thought to himself.
Rysher shook his head, and compose himself.
" I am asking...how could you be so disrespectful to turn your back?" he said.
" You started all this right?" Gaia answered.
" And now that I'm taking this seriously...what's that reaction?" she added.
" Let go.." she muttered softly.
Gaia wasn't shouting but he could feel the threat in her tone.
He loses his hold on her.
And then, she disappears.
I searched for the wolves born of the elements and observed them living their lives from afar, how come I haven't had a closer look at this one? Rysher thought to himself.
The Next Day
Rysher was still in bewilderment about his meeting with the wolf born of the earth element.
" Did I start it? How come she said that? Have I done anything I don't know?" he was mumbling.
" Darn!!!" he frustratedly scratches his head.
Just when I could tame all the wolves keeper, and now here is one of them who's...damn! How would I even describe her? Rysher thinks.
He rose from his seat and screamed for one of his spies to come over.
" What is it Lycan King?" asked the man whose head was kept down before him.
" The Ultima of the Howling Valley... I want you to dig more information about her," he ordered.
The spy agreed, and after bowing again, he hurriedly leave the place.
