Chapter 1 - The world's richest man

Kyro Tusk. Successor of Elon Tusk, Ph.D in business at Harvard University, entrepreneur, CEO of the biggest spaceship company SpaceZ, oh and of course the richest man in the world.

With such a record his CV was extensive. Perhaps nobody would believe that the infamous Mr. Tusk would be standing in a sketchy downtown alley seemingly making a deal with a 4 foot tall alien. To understand how he ended up in this situation, it is necessary to go back a few days…

----------------------------------------------

Two days ago - October 3rd.

Alfred the butler was approaching Kyro's sleeping figure with hasty steps. Despite practically running, it took him about 10 seconds to reach the bed. This could not be solely constituted to Alfred having a limping leg, it was at least in part due to the sheer size of the bedroom. If anyone who knew Alfred saw this scene, they would probably think they were hallucinating. The contrast from Alfred's usual calm demeanour was simply too big.

"Sire, you must wake up it is urgent." he said, slightly flustered from running across the room.

Kyro was half-asleep, but rapidly awoke as he grasped the seriousness of the situation "Hmm what is it, Alfred?"

As he spoke Kyro took a deep breath and sat up straight. The morning light shone through the thin linnen curtains and landed on his face. He was blond, blue eyes with a shiveled jawline - one could only describe him as handsome. But despite being almost 6'0 tall he looked very small in comparison to the massive bed he was sitting upon.

Without taking a second to catch his breath Alfred exclaimed "The advance space AI has discovered alien life!"

To Kyro, these words were like a bombshell. Whatever sleepiness still existed immediately vanished from his mind "What!? We installed it just last week, there is no way it's search radius has expanded beyond our solar system yet. You're telling me there has been alien life living in our own solar system this whole time?"

Finally, Alfred took a second to compose himself and started to resemble the put together man he was known for. "Not quite sire, the alien life doesn't seem to be from our solar system. They are nothing like we thought alien life would be. Millions of spaceship far more advanced than anything seen on Earth are gathering at the edge of our solar system as we speak. But all the spaceships are facing directly towards a single location: Earth."

Still shocked from the bombshell that was dropped on him early on a Sunday morning, Kyro brushed his eyes "millions of advanced alien spaceships huh… it seems we are all doomed. Does NASA know about this yet?"

"No sire, we should be the only ones who know about this. As you know NASA have yet to produced an AI that can even get close to challenging ours. The US is providing less and less resources for those poor bastards. Besides, it was only through a stroke of luck that our AI discovered them. Moments after the signal was registered they disappeared from our radars. They seem to have some advanced cloaking mechanism that we can't pry into." Alfred answered with a mix of pride, fear and multiple other emotions Kyro had never seen in the 25 years that Alfred had been serving him. "Would you want me to put you on a spaceship sire? If you leave tonight you might be able to escape without the Aliens noticing you."

For the first time since he woke up Kyro suddenly had a determined look in his eyes "Nonsense, what am I going to do alone in space? If Earth falls I will fall with it. Besides, if the Aliens spare us, this could be a perfect opportunity… Alfred, what's the number one rule of business?

Perhaps seeing where Kyro was going with this, the trace of a smile could be seen forming on Alfred's robust face "Supply and demand sire"

Kyro released a broad smile back and replied "and when is the supply the lowest and demand the highest Alfred?"

Alfred's smile kept broadening to the point where it was unclear if he was smiling or crying "When people are desperate sire, during chaos"

Satisfied with Alfred's answers, Kyro quickly got out of bed and prepared to head out of his room. Just as he reached the doorway he turned around and said "oh and Alfred, notify NASA and the rest of the world about the aliens"

"…"

"Pfttt"

They both immediately burst out laughing. For a solid minute the two kept laughing, as if the funniest joke in the world was just said.

Finally they calmed down and Alfred said with a smile still lingering "Sire you jest too much, quickly go out and make a fortune. Just like you always do."

"Not quite Alfred, this will be nothing like anything I've ever done before." Kyro mumbled to himself as he walked out the door.

Without knowing it, Kyro had just stepped path on his journey to becoming the universes richest CEO. He would become a source of inspiration to quadrillions of entities around the universe, and a source of envy to even more.
