Chapter 1 - Rinse, and Repeat.

See yourself in that mirror? That is you, Seijuro. In a hundred battles you face, you will grow scar. A built body, and most importantly.. You will be able to withhold that Sharpness of A Blade.

It was the last words I heard from my father, his death grew to me more than anyone else. Dying in battle is the one thing everyone would least think he'd die. He was a master-swordsmen, the most feared in the world, and unstoppable. I stared at the deep mirror he pointed at before. I matched exactly what he said. A wicked scar across my chest, I'm no longer than the 5'1 little boy I was, I grew up to 6'4 in a matter of years. And, most importantly.. I withhold a blade.

A tall blade, around 4 feet long. It weighed a bunch and had a firm build to it. It was mostly colored purple, a color my father deemed as royalty. I honored him in that way, flecks of gold and a handle that could be switched from one-handed to two-handed. It was magnificent and was able to cause destruction beyond that of a superhuman. I never shivered or paused at the thought of decapitating or ending an enemy of mine using this blade. It guided my life and being. What it chose, I chose. Yes.. Father always believed that the blade you felt a connection to, would lead you until your final stand. I guess it worked out for him, the bloodstains on his blade had disgusted me at first.. Now, all I see are fools who dared to oppose him. I also carried my father's blade when I battled, other than my blade. His soul, I felt it every time I held his blade. It guided me when mine couldn't.

Getting up from the mirror, I put on a dark short-sleeved shirt. Grabbing my massive blade, and sheathed it and placed my sheath on my back. Walking out of my cabin, I looked around. The voices of a large city village filled my ears. Walking out, I saw everything. It was normal to me, but not you. The walking citizens, were half-humans, full-humans, and entirely different races such as Elves, Werewolves, and Vampires. The world was full of these people. 45% Humans, 20% Half-Human, 12% Elves, and 34% other things. I never really paid attention to the face of a person, not my thing. The only thing I care about is their friend or foe. I'm not easy to get along with, I require you to be useful.

My father was the same, he loved having allies, but he hated it when they weren't a good healer or fighter. His magical ability was thunder, I possess something similar.. I can make my blade emit thunder, and use it as an advantage for speed and effective damage. I had brought a few oppas, but you guys call them apples. Using 15 silver coins, about 30 dollars in your term. I walked around, eating my oppas. They were tasty and juicy, but most of all.. Helpful. I hadn't eaten in days, I push myself. In case of being chained or locked up for torture, I strictly train myself to be resistant to poison, lack of eating, and damage. My build was for damage. If I were someone about speed, I'd be a lot skinnier. But, no. I weigh more than 200 LBS at only 17, but the rock-hard skin I've developed was all the more worth it. I don't move any slower either, I can lift more than 10x my body weight, although I'd struggle, I have done it.

I stumbled across a tall building, that looked something like a mansion. It had a large sign on it.

-DUNGEON GUILD-

A guild, a place where warriors, merchants, and travelers go to sign up to fight against beasts among men. They were large, small, or very large. Nothing was normal about those things, they had a wicked smug look, their skin was red or full-black. The evil things they've committed. The goblins were the most threatful to females, they'd do anything for a.. taste. I've seen it, the weakened dead bodies of the poor souls, I came too late. It pained me, but the more I am hurt, the stronger I am. Those goblins never saw the day of light again, or the sweet release of life. I did something, far.. far, worse. I entered that building, my large sheath, slamming onto the roof of the door. Everyone looked towards me but looked away after a second or two. I was known here as the gob- I mean, the pu- I mean, Beast Slayer. I killed everything that came into my way without remorse. I know people who do that aswell, although, I work alone. My friend Yuroi, and his twin Yuin, have tried to convince me to join their guild. But, I always declined.

Walking to the receptionist's desk, I was quiet. The female was on her computer and wrote something down before looking towards me. "Hello! I'm Yui, and I'm your server for today, what can I do for ya?" She said, it was very notable she was an Elf, did I care? No. I simply did a small sigh, "I'd like to request a quest." I uttered, "A quest? Oh! You want one of the higher-level dungeons, huh?" She asked, "I think that'd be obvious." I replied with a cold tone, I never really relied on emotion to show what I actually felt. She grabbed a piece of paper and slammed it onto the table. "Here's a good one! Slay 15 Humanoid Boars, and I'll give ya 50 gold, hows do that sound?" She said. I grabbed the paper and walked away. Ignoring her, I sat at a table. Reading the mission, 15 Humanoid Boars.. in Floor Level 20. I guess she forgot to tell what floor level, this could put the life of an amythest in danger. Although, I'm a diamond rank, two ranks higher.

I ventured to the door and opened it. Looking towards an even LARGER mansion-looking place. But, this time, it had about 150 floors. High into the skies, the highest I've ever been was Floor Level 120. I almost died, however. That's how I got this damned scar. Walking towards the building, I opened the door. A large receptionist desk and an elevator next to it. I put the paper on the desk, and the worker read it. And, pressed a button. The Floor Level went from 1-20. I walked to the elevator and opened the door. I was sucked at hypersonic speeds, anyone would have thought this was fun, or frightening. But, I remained quiet.

The elevator door opened, and a large, 50x50 meter room door opened. The red-eyes of beasts looked towards me, tiny, and large shadows shot around. I grabbed my blade.

"Ragnarok, lead my battle." I uttered, getting ready to slay some things.

I walked out to the battlefield, it was oddly dark. I looked around. The beasts were quiet but in my ears. They were as loud as a train. I spotted them without even having to look around. Then, some little critters decided to be bold and latch out at me but grabbed my blade. A single slice.

The little critters were sliced in half, blood spilled onto my shirt and face. Wiping the gunk off, I walked to them and kneeled down. I heard their eyes are really valuable nowadays if you have a lot. 10 sliver a piece, about 20 dollars in your term.

I grabbed my small dagger knife and began peeling the eyes out. Until I heard loud growling and snickering. Foolish. I could hear them behind me, and I heard a loud jump. With no hesitation, I grabbed my blade and slammed it into the neck of my enemy.

It was rough, and hard to cut through, and I only had done a portion of it. I looked towards my enemy, yes.. It was my first Humanoid Boar. I crashed his body into the pavement, and put my other hand onto the blade, pushing harder.

Halfway through, this was getting annoying. I felt the lightning around my hilt, and then.. It slammed into the body of the Boar. It defused his body's strength, allowing me to cut through flawlessly.

I grabbed his rolling head, along with the eyeballs. "14 more to go," I uttered. I heard the tiny noises of scared, and bold creatures. I grabbed my blade, held it high to the sky. A large lightning bolt erupted into the room, a large thunder slam could be heard. it strikes several beasts in the skull, killing them without fail. I looked around, only two boars and a couple of those little critters.

I don't think that receptionist lady took note of my rank.. Or, I'm only seeing the weak ones. There's no way Humanoid Boars are this easy to kill, not from my memory. I heard a loud growl and turned around. Jackpot..

There was a massive 8 feet tall beast upon me, and it was also a boar. I felt my heart drop for a second, this sure was surprising. The boar held a large ax, wonder where he got that.

I dodged and rolled away from one of his strikes, grabbing my blade. I looked up, pointing my blade at him like a wand. But, it was effective. Another large thunderbolt slammed into the room, onto the Boar's body. Screaming from it. "GRAHH!!"

I simply ran towards it, flicked my blade back, and strikes upwards as I jumped. The chest of the boar was cut open, the guts spilled to the floor, intestines everywhere. I didn't care, and I did a spin, slicing his neck. He held it in pain and was gurgling.

And in the end, as I flipped behind him, his head fell down onto the ground. Flopping around, blood spilling over his head. The blood poured from his decapitated body.

I sheathed my blade and walked to his dead body. Grabbing his head, 13 more. I'd haven't realized how long I would be here, but it'd be a good workout. So, with my blood-filled shirt, I looked at the beasts and creatures of the dark night.

I was there for many, many hours. But, came out around the middle of the night. A bag of dead Boar heads in my hand, and a sheathed blade in the other. I walked towards the guild building and flinged open the door. Nowadays, when it was night. There were just drunk people and others who looked for females may be up for a deal if you catch my drift. I was a constant worker, so as usual, I was a regular in the night aswell.

I walked towards the receptionist's desk and dropped the boar heads onto the table. Putting my paper quest onto the table aswell. The receptionist read it and counted the boar heads. "Alright, there's the gold." He said, giving it to me. I left without a trace, walking back to my cabin. The night was filled with prostitutes and parties. How do they live like this? So much disgrace and noise in one night are enough to drive anyone crazy. I opened my cabin door and walked to my bed. Dropping the cash next to a bowl that was filled to the brim with silver and gold. I sat down and took off my shirt. "Rince, and repeat." I thought. I slid onto my bed, and with that.

I drifted to bed.

The night woke me up once again, not even 5 hours later. It was a very early morning, and I got up. "Rince, and repeat." I thought once again. Grabbing a new black shirt, and grabbed 50 slivers, walked out with my blade and armor, and ventured throughout the city.

Then, I felt a large pump on my chest while I looking away, I looked down to where I felt it. There was a female, on her buttocks, holding her head. I didn't feel anything. I just stood there, staring at her with cold eyes. "Y'gonna say sorry or somethin' ?!" She screamed. I put my hand to my neck, "Uh, sorry?" I said, my deep and cold voice chilling down her spine. "What'cha doing up so early, anyway?" She said, getting up and dusting herself off. "I'm a warrior, I usually just kill beasts, train, and sleep. Rince, and repeat." I told her, "Sounds borin' !" She said chuckling at me, there was nothing funny about what I said, right?

Then, I noticed. She's oddly short and has perky ears. An Elf, only they can get so short, about 4'10 I think. But Elves usually don't have brown skin, and white hair. At least the green eyes signals she's an Elf. I then sighed, "How old are you?" I asked, not trying to sound weird. "My age? You know it's not polite to ask a woman her age, right?" She said pretty quickly. "I'm 18." She sighed. She was older than me, yet everything about me was better than her. "Y'wanna join my guild? It's pretty small, so no rush!" She said smirking. I shook my head no, and then we stood there awkwardly. "Aww, Y'really do?! C'mere, lemme show ya the team!" She said, grabbing my arm and tugging on me. Dragging me to a disclosed location, in reality, I just let her drag me. Something new would be preferable.

I looked around, there were two other people. "Meet him, and her! She's Phyhn, and he's Ugene! Oh, and I'm Ahma!" She said smiling. "Phyhn.. And, Ugene.." I uttered quietly. "I'm Seijuro Akihama." I greeted. "Wait! As in the Beast Slayer?!" Phyhn screamed, fangirling over me. Ahma looked confused, "Beast Slayer? You some kinda champ or somethin' ?" She asked. "No, I'm a famous person who slays things with mercy," I explained. Phyhn jumped towards me, "And you're gonna be joining our guild?! So exciting!!" She said, giggling around. I didn't want to break it to her, so I just simply waved her away. "Alright, fine," I said quietly. Ahma's eyes lit up, "FUCK YEAH!" She screamed with happiness. I just shrugged it away.
