There are a lot of things that time can do. It has the power to shape our lives. It has the power to bring us together. It has the power to drive us apart.

Getting a skill orb was something extraordinary. The chance of looting this type of orb was a lot lower than material orb. And of course, it gave a lot of advantages to people who looted them. They could either learn the skill in the orb to get stronger or sell it to earn a lot of money.
And the skill inside the orb wasn't a skill related to the monster which had been killed. People could kill a legendary class monster and get a trash skill, or kill an ordinary monster and get a legendary type skill.
Of course, to tap into the full potential of such a skill, they will need to rank up. So to use such skills while being a low rank, the skill effect would decrease and only upgrade as the individual will rank up.
And what made those skill orbs so rare was that there was a lot of chance that the skill people would get was related to their affinities and specialization.
In this world, people are born with different affinities. Fire, thunder, water, ice, earth, wind, sound, magic power, world energy, gravity, space, and reality. All of these affinities have some variables. And the last four were the rarest of the rarest. Only one person out of A billion could get one of these affinities. And since there were only ten billion people in the world, those who had those affinities were rare.
They were usually the strongest people in the world. And Jil who had the world energy as affinities would probably be one of them in the future.
As for Haste, it could be said that he was a variable. Time wasn't in any of the variables of affinities, yet he could control time. Not now, but in the future, surely he would.
So when he got the skill orb, not only he was surprised, but also very excited to discover what type of spell he would receive. However, when he remembered that his brother was here and that he would surely understand that Haste could control time by seeing the spell, he didn't know if he should open the orb or not.
'On the one hand, he looks very genuine about his apology. On the other hand, the God of Time was proud of me when I lied to Jil. So that probably means that Time affinity isn't something I should tell people, or either that Jil is hiding something from me that I don't know, whereas the God of Time actually knows or has a guess about what he is hiding.'
"What are you waiting for, Haste?" Jil pulled his brother out of his thought. "Won't you unlock the skill?"
"Hmm, I don't know if I should unlock it now. While I seriously want to do it, is it wise to do it in the middle of so many enemies?"
"Don't worry, I would protect you if something turns wrong."
"But isn't it better if I sell it? Skill orb cost a lot of money, and I won't lie to you, I don't really want to stay under the same roof as our parents," Haste tried to dissuade him, but he was running out of ideas.
"Well, it indeed costs a lot of money, and I can't stop you if you want to go away from the house, but look at the situation differently. If you learn a new skill and this skill is something strong, then you will be able to earn money even more easily. So isn't it better to learn it?"
"Yeah, I guess it's true, I can't argue," Haste said, looking down with a sad face.
"Also, you should profit from this luck. It's hard to get a skill orb, and you know that too. So don't waste such a rare thing for money."
"Yeah, you're right," He said as he crushed the orb and blue energy began to come out from it. The energy turned around him for a few moments before flowing into his body.
[Skill orb assimilated]
[Time affinity detected]
[New spell granted]
[Time sphere: The user can lock whatever he wants in a bubble of time. Time will stop for those who are inside the bubble. But the bubble can be destroyed if the magic power used to create it isn't sufficient.]
All the information related to the spell entered his mind. How to use time attacks, shape it, and the different uses it has.
'And how am I meant to show him this? He would surely ask me what effect my spell has, but I can't tell him what it can do,' Haste's brain turned at full gears to find a solution. Alas, it was hard. 'Argh, seriously, what should I do?'
"So, what did you get?" Jil asked.
Haste didn't say anything for a moment. He was still searching for a solution. And in the end, he said, "I'm sorry, but I can't tell you yet."
Their relationship wasn't developed enough for Haste to tell his brother that, and the latter knew that too. So it was the best solution he could come up with.
"Well, I guess it can't be helped. I won't pry further if you don't want me to, so don't worry," Even though he said that, Jil had a sad smile on his face. Making Haste heart ache a little. But Jil's thoughts were completely different. 'You piece of trash. I'm tired to play the nice guy with you. He's still trash for me, even though he has the potential to be someone great. The next time we go hunting, you will suffer, little bro.'
Jil had a hard time keeping this act. He didn't like his brother, and the fact that he was trash until yesterday only accentuated this feeling. So the only reason he acted like that was to discover his power. Because of Haste's rank, Jil couldn't see the time around him changing. Time manipulation only affected his body, so for him, Haste only had a skill that increased his speed.
However, if he were to see the Time bubble, then he wouldn't need a lot of time to connect all the dots.
So even though he didn't know it, Haste had in reality angered his brother.
