"Welcome back! Mei and Shun," Fang greeted after they arrived in the living room.
"Hello," they both greeted and sat on the sofa.
"Are you okay, Shun?" Fang asked when she noticed the brushes and minor cuts on Shun's body.
"Ah, yes, I'm fine," Shun stated and laughed awkwardly. He noticed Fang glanced at his wounds. "I just tripped on my way home earlier.
"You should be careful," Mei stated with worry and looked at the bruise on Shun's knuckles.
"I will," Shun scratched the back of his head to hide the bruise from Mei's eyes. It was the result of days of training with Yami.
"Now, since you are all here. Let's go to the 4th floor. Ying was waiting along with Xuxu," Fang stated and turned off the television as they went to the elevator.
When they arrived, they saw Yami and Xuxu seated on the floor with a tiny ball and five stones.
"What are you two doing?" Fang stated and went towards them.
"We are playing," Xuxu muttered and tossed the ball up in the air and took one stone, but he was slow to catch the ball, which bounced multiple times, which was supposed to be once.
"You lose, my turn," Yami stated and snatched the ball from Xuxu's hand.
"That looks fun," Mei muttered, sat next to Yami, and watched him play.
"What's that, Ying?" Shun asked in curiosity.
"Oh, this is Jackstone. I used to play this when I was a kid," Yami muttered with a smile. He felt good that he could act like a teenager again and play games as usual.
"Oh, speaking of age. Are you really fifteen years old, Ying?" Shun asked. He remembered that Yami had said before that it was not his original body.
"Now that I've thought about this. Ying sometimes acted and spoke like an aged man," Fang muttered, and the rest agreed with her.
Yami froze on his spot and looked at them with callow eyes. "Ha ha, of course, I'm fifteen."
Yami laughed awkwardly. He didn't want them to know that he could be their big brother in real life. Yami was enjoying his life in a teen boy's body, and he didn't want them to treat him differently.
"Well, let's go to our main topic today. You'll only have less than a week before the tournament start, and this time, you will pick the first skill you'll use, but before that, let's discuss the vessels," Fang stated and went to room 01, and the rest of them followed except Xuxu who continued playing Jackstone alone.
"You three already knew about the six classes of vessels, right? Then let's check what's inside the vessel," Fang stated and flicked her fingers. A box from the ground appeared that contained six vessels inside.
Fang grabbed the Mage vessel and unscrewed it. Inside were 10 tiny gold squares with lines connected to the middle part holding the class symbol.
"The middle part was the one that transmitted the wielder's mana into the artificial body and skills. These 10 boxes hold the skills; the right side carries the main skills, and the left side is for the sub-skills."
"Let's use Shun as an example," Fang stated, pulling Shun to her side. "Shun, can you tell them about your main skills?"
"Yes," Shun nodded and activated his tank vessel. His gigantic hammer appeared, and he swung it to the side.
"Currently, I have three main skills; Charge, Bulwark, and Nou," Shun stated and took a step back and showed them skills similar to Yami's system tank soul skills.
"Charge ignited electric current when I hit the enemy. Bulwark was a customed shield and triggered a blast after its use. Lastly, Nou's attacks in a fan-shaped area that deals a lot of damage. I only have one sub-skills. That was another personal shield." Shun explained with a demonstration.
"That's amazing!" Mei exclaimed in awe while Yami stared at his screen, where the third skill reward was still untouched.
'I wonder what would it be,' Yami thought, itching to unlock the skill.
"Tank Class vessel wielders are rare since it's low in offensive power. Even though the weapons are weightless, you can feel the additional weight while using the skills. That's why it's unpopular among the Combatants," Fang sighed and tapped Shun's shoulders.
"You can choose any skills available and modify them to your liking," Fang added, handing Mei the vessel she'll be using permanently. "That will be your own personal vessel. You can customize the cover if you want."
"Thank you! Um, will I be choosing my skills too?" Mei asked. Her voice held excitement and anxiousness.
"Yes, of course," Fang smiled and gestured for Mei to follow her toward the monitor where the complete mage skill and sub-skills were placed. "You can pick whatever you like and try them out."
Yami stared at them. He took the Assassin vessel, although his eyes wanted to pick Marksman.
"You must be conflicted," Fang whispered behind Yami.
Yami flinched in shock and nearly knocked her over due to his instinct. "Fang!"
Fang giggled and opened Yami's own monitor for him to choose his skills. "You can always learn new classes in the future, Ying, but for now, focus on one."
Yami nodded his head in understanding. Fang left him alone while she talked to Shun about the sub-skills he wanted to add.
Yami glanced at the monitor that contained hundreds of skills that his mind couldn't handle to read one by one.
'My spy aptitudes are decreasing,' Yami thought. He was disappointed with himself since before, he could read and memorize every detail, but now, he wanted to unwind.
Yami saw several Assassin skills that caught his attention, but when he tried to use them, it was locked by his system.
[SOUL SKILL LOCKED.]
[NOTICE: PLAYER HADN'T LEARNED THE CHOSEN SKILL.]
"What the— " Yami yelled in disbelief. He didn't expect that the system would interfere with the skills of the vessels.
