Everyone else was at the dining table except Alexander and Greta. Greta was not on the table because she was still in the reflection room, while Alex was having cold feet, because his birthday was that day. He finally came to the dining room looking quite tiresome as everyone chorused, Happy Birthday Alex!
He was reluctant to smile to show appreciation but he did it anyway. Sebastian told Alex that they've made plans for his birthday cake but they have to tell Alan about it first.
Alex told them not to worry about it and that a birthday doesn't necessarily need a cake, but Julius wasn't having it,
"There's no way we're gonna throw a birthday party without a cake. Is it a funeral?" Julius said.
Everyone laughed, while Alex took his seat next to Mila, who was still crossed with him.
"Hey, are you still mad?" Alex asked Mila
"Don't talk to me, just make sure you show up for your birthday in the common room, at 7 pm," Mila said as she faced her food.
Arthur and Auriela sat side by side for the first time, because of the task that was given to them by Alan. They left the dining room earlier to practice the spell.
WITCHING ROOM.
Arthur prepared all the needed for the spell, Auriela couldn't help but touch everything Arthur had set up,
"Dude, stop that. You might mess everything up." Arthur ordered Auriela.
"Dude?" Auriela asked confused.
Arthur shrugged her off and tried to make her concentrate on their task but Auriela always drifted off,
"So.. Jason's your best friend right?" Auriela asked.
"Yeah, what about him?"
"He kissed me last night, in my room," Auriela said as she chuckled.
"You're welcome," Arthur said.
Auriela was confused, "What? Why are you saying 'you're welcome' "
"I asked him to do so. You figured the bastard that did that nasty stuff to him, you deserved it."
"Oh my God, I feel even worse now that you've told me."
"Why?"
"Free will, I thought he did it on his own. I thought he realized that he was a fucking imbecile for not noticing how great I am."
"Okay great one, can we now focus on our task?"
"What the hell Arthur, this is a social crisis. I can't concentrate. Arrrghhh!" Auriela screamed.
"de focus operam" Arthur said. After he said this, Auriela immediately stopped ranting and said this like she was a robot,
"Arthur, you are right, we should focus on our task."
"Thank you Auriela 2.0," Arthur said as he chuckled.
REFLECTION ROOM.
Greta was out, she was unconscious. She slowly regained consciousness and saw herself tied to a chair. She was struggling to get out of that chair, she was screaming nonstop. Until it came, the creature rushes forward, its four legs elegantly carrying its reptilian body with a sedated energy. A powerful tail snakes behind it, scars and bite marks are all over its leathery surface.
Two enormous wings extend themselves fully. Blackened bones and feathers of bone stretch upward before curling up. The creature steps closer, it becomes more and more menacing, and its eyes stare intently into Greta's eyes. It said to her in a hissing tone,
"Gretaaaaa, you're finally awake."
Greta was terrified, she screamed her life out. "Get me out of here! I'm sorry Jason, I'm sorry Mr Alan!" She cried like never before.
"It'ss-s-s okay child, your apologies-ss-ss mean nothing here. I'm here to guide you, not eat you. Besides I've had my fill."
Greta looked at her legs and realized that one of her legs was missing, she screamed intensively,
The snake-like creature laughed hysterically, he told her not to worry, that it was an illusion. Soon Greta looked at her legs and she saw that they were back and complete. She couldn't understand what was going on.
"S-ss-ss-sily child, this is all an illusion. I don't really exist."
Greta became even more confused, "but Mr Alan told me this was a reflection room?"
"Reflection room? Everything you see in every door you open is your reflection. It illustrates-s-s-s your pas-s-s-st lives-s-s. I am a reflection of what you s-s-s-s-s-stole when you were 10."
"Eww, I never stole anything that looked like you." Greta barfed.
"You s-s-ss-stole a s-s-snake and a pigeon from your neighbour. I posses-s-s-s-s the legs-s-s of a pigeon and a human. S-s-s-so the key to getting out of here is-s-s-s finding your turning point."
"Turning point? I don't think I have one."
"Think Greta, because every door you enter I won't be there to help you. I am the nices-s-s-st of your reflection. But my looks-s-s contradict my pers-s-s-sonality."
"So I have to face others like you until I find my turning point?"
"Abss-s-solutely."
"It means I'm stuck here," Greta said, already losing hope.
WITCHING ROOM
Arthur brought an apple and placed it on the table and Saud to Auriela,
"Okay, the revelio spell is not just an ordinary spell, it's one of the oldest and hardest spells in the book. And to get the spell right with need 100 per cent concentration."
"How do we even know we've gotten it right?" Auriela asked.
"A yellow light would be displayed signifying that we've gotten the spell right."
"Then why did you bring an apple?"
"We're gonna need it."
"Okay?" Auriela said confused, but ready to try out what Arthur had in store for them.
Arthur continued by saying, "We know the Revelio spell is used to reveal concealed objects, messages, invisible things and passages, or any other secretly written messages or hidden marks. All of which relates to Octavius Grimoire."
Arthur brought a jar and a knife. He gave Auriela the knife to cut her palms,
"Are you out of your fucking mind? I'm not gonna cut myself." Auriela barked.
"Auriela, this is the only way we can try the spell to see if it works," Arthur begged her.
"Why don't you, cut yourself?"
"Because I'm the one performing the revelio spell. Please just do as I say."
Auriela eventually agreed, "what do you want me to do."
Arthur explained to Auriela that he needed her to cut her palms and squeeze the blood into the jar, which she did. Then he told her to perform a cloaking spell to cloak the apple, so he would channel her blood since she was the one that performed the spell and use the revelio spell to reveal the apple, cloaked by her. He performed the revelio spell and it worked, the yellow light began to display and the apple revealed itself. He laughed and leapt for joy like an eccentric scientist.
He wanted to try out more objects, so he brought a grimoire and he tore a page from it and gave it to Auriela. He told her to divide it into two parts,
"divido," Auriela said and the page from the grimoire rose to the air and divided into two, it was still in the air when Arthur told her to perform a concealing spell,
"apstrudo." After she said those words, the divided papers began to disappear slowly. This weakened Auriela a bit, blood ran down from her nose. Arthur noticed it and said to her,
"You're bleeding,"
She touched her nose and cleaned them off. "It's nothing probably."
"Are you sure you're okay Aurie?" Arthur asked worriedly.
"I'm fine! Just do the fucking spell." Auriela ordered.
Arthur started channelling Auriela's blood and chanted the revelio spell. Auriela watched as the spell drained a whole lot of energy from Arthur.
"Arthur, Arthur, Arthur!" Auriela cried out.
Arthur was fighting the urge to stop the spell, black blood started gushing out from his eyes, and he screamed in anguishing pain. He continued the spell, Auriela begged him to stop,
"Arthur stop this spell right now! I'll show you where I hid the fucking parts. Just stop this already, you're killing yourself!" Auriela yelled.
She couldn't hear herself over the noise the spell made and Arthur's intense screaming. Soon, Arthur stopped bleeding and his eyes turned yellow. He saw the locations where Auriela hid the divided pages from the grimoire. After that, she fell unconscious.
Auriela tried to wake him up by slapping him severally, eventually, he woke up,
"Ouch! That hurts." Arthur said after he regained consciousness.
"Never die on me, imbecile," Auriela said with a sigh of relief. She helped him up and asked him what he saw,
"Really? your makeup box and Jason's room," Arthur said as he smirked.
"You found it, you bastard." Auriela said as they both laughed, "those are the two places my mind was limited to go." Auriela added.
Arthur took a brief pause and said,
"If you bled trying to hide just a piece of paper from this grimoire, I wondered what happened to Octavius that hid the whole thing."
Auriela pondered about what Arthur said then she said,
"If you almost died by locating just a piece of paper, I wonder what would happen when Alan finds something that belongs to Octavius and we're to perform the spell."
They both thought deeply about what each other said and began to embrace themselves for the worse.
