Ginny's eyes turned teary as she finished listening to what her father said before blinking her eyes and willing the tears away, she couldn't break right now, if she was to break then her father will only feel worse thinking that she was scared by the incident and he wasn't able to protect her well enough. So, she picked up the glass of milk that was on the cabinet and then placed it in the hands of her father as she took a sip of the warm turmeric milk and let the hot drink soothe her throat a little.
If she was being honest when she heard the Duke say that they wanted to test her out, she was so scared that her entire throat went parched in a second and after that she didn't have the will or the energy to so much as take a sip of water, now that she has drank this warm milk with honey, her entire extremities were getting all warmed up with a hint of sweetness in it.
