Chapter 29 - Grave Digging Manor.

I couldn't even say anything when I grabbed the invite as Livina smiled, stood up, and walked away back into the carriage then left.

"What just happened?" I said after the carriage left.

Sivath even let out an odd noise that sounded like laughing.

I just smiled as I started to laugh at myself as I started to read the invite.

It was just a basic invitation, but I will say it was the best invitation card I have ever seen. The only thing that I noticed was that there was a special marking that said that there would be an interesting sight at the end of the party.

"Well it looks like I've joined the military." I sighed as I stood and placed the invitation into my Inventory as I started my walk back to the Shack.

It was actually a nice walk back. No one seemed to stop me, there were even a couple of kids who noticed Sivath. They even wanted to pet her.

I even found a hidden fishing store that had some interesting items, but there was a sign on the door that said it was closed to prepare for the Crown Princes party.

"Ok what is going on here? There is no way my luck can be this good." I said aloud as I passed by another thing that seemed to be perfectly meant for me. "Something bad is going to happen, I can feel it."

I sighed as I started to rub the side of my head as I continued my walk, doing the best I could to dismiss the bad feeling I started to feel. But once the thought was there, I found it hard not to think about it.

Yet somehow it was a blessing in disguise as I lost track of time as I found myself trying to prepare for the worst possible scenario from the bad feeling I had. But when I came back I was confused as something had changed.

"When did Ulrich get a door?" I said aloud as I started to look around as I noticed a massive door in front of me. "Wait, that's a gate door…"

I stopped speaking as the massive gate doors opened as a wide smiling Ulrich stood, before a look of shock appeared on his face.

"Sup."

"Sup."

"I was gone for two days. When the hell did we get a freaking wall?" I asked as I pointed to Sivath. "Sivath, Ulrich. Ulrich, Sivath. Now, what the hell happened."

I asked as Ulrich just continued to stand there with a look of shock on his face before he blinked as his face twitched a little as it looked like he just remembered something.

"You're alive! Thank Qhedlir! You're alive! I thought you went and got killed in that minor beast tide! How did you survive and why do you have a Demon on your shoulder?" Ulrich spoke in joy and surprise but at the end he started to change as he pointed at Sivath as even his face changed to show anger.

"Yeah, I survived. Started because I killed Big Red Boar's two kids, unknowingly at the time. And you're the second person to call Sivath a Demon, she's an insect, a centipede." I answered as I started to enter Ulrich's Domain. "And you still need to answer my question Ulrich. What happened when I was gone, oh and I got six bodies that I need you to look at later."

But as I took two steps forward I seemed to bump into something as Sivath started to hiss in an angry tone.

"No Bastion, that is a Demon. It's a Centipede Demon. Why hasn't it killed you." Ulrich spoke in a serious tone as he lazily held his hand up. "Wait, how did you unknowingly kill the two kids of Big Red? And it's a gift for joining the Crown Princes camp and he even built you a very nice Manor as well."

"Why would she kill me? I know how to speak to centipedes. I was quite fond of them in my Otherworld. I don't see what the problem is. Did they do anything to you?" I answered as I started to try and calm down Sivath.

Ulrich remained silent after I answered as he seemed surprised by what I said.

I almost wanted to see if he was ok and say something, but when I tried to speak up Ulrich seemed to come back as it looked like he had trouble asking a question.

"You, you said… you said you talked to it. How, did you hiss at it or did you talk to it?" Ulrich asked after a small amount of time passed.

"Both."

"Both."

"Yes, both. I hissed and asked, ``Why is that so hard to believe?" I asked.

"No, not at all, just make sure you remember what you said because what you say might have been different in this world." Ulrich said as he lowered his hand as he started to walk away. "Follow me, we have a few things to discuss. And also welcome Sivath. You've chosen an odd fellow."

Sivath hissed at Ulrich almost making him trip, but caught himself as he started to walk at a swiffer pace.

I just shook my head and smiled as I started to follow after Ulrich. I even complimented Sivath with a quick scratch for making Ulrich almost trip. Which seemed to make her happy.

But when I started to follow Ulrich as I noticed a massive looking manor that started to come into view.

"I was literally gone for like two days." I said aloud which seemed to make Ulrich laugh.

"What did you think would happen when you joined the Crown Princes camp Bastion? Did you think he would leave you alone? No, especially not after what you made him do." Ulrich continued to laugh as he started to slow down to reach my pace.

"What do you mean? He just invited me to a party of his, that much I kinda expected, but." I said as I gestured to the manor. "But this, I didn't expect nor the fortified walls and gate now that I think about it."

I said as I continued to look at the impressively built manor as multiple questions came into my mind so I could ask the Crown Prince what the manor was capable of.

"Really, this is standard. But since it's the Crown Prince he went all out. The walls and gate are capable of stopping a Rank: King or Queen's attack no problem, which is something not even Duke's get. Plus the Grave Digger Manor he built for you is capable of the same as the walls in defense. It even comes with a full smithy, lab, garden, mini forest…"

Ulrich continued to explain what the Grave Digger Manor had and was capable of all the way to the door. I found it hard to believe some of the things that it held, but Ulrich swore by it. Said there was even a book that came with the manor, but only I was capable of fully reading it as well as having total control of the Grave Digging Manor.

'Well I guess I should get ready for a party, but first I should do something with my six trophies. Plus I have to be prepared for what the other nobles might try to do at the party. This should be interesting.' I silently mused as we reached the front door to my new manor.
