While everyone else was talking their own private business. Istuki juet felt more happy he got to be the lucky guy who was able to walk with two cute girls at the same time on their way to the cafe. It made him feel like a real cool dude to be with them both in public. Even if this moment lasted such a short time.
"We're finally here." Hakuta said as he entered the cafe with Yuusen. He was glad to be finished with that uncomfortable conversation. While it wasn't a bad thing to be aware of his friend hoping for some aid. He wasn't looking forward to being the one to try and actually get them together.
Their other friends would soon enter the cafe as well. Both their entrances were stated in the same manner in which Hakuta said as he had walked in prior. "Now that you're all here." He commented upon the group reuniting once more. "How about we all eat now?"
"Say…" Ninka was already on the move without the need of help from her friend. She didn't need much aid, just that Shiuka didn't get in the way and prevented other interruptions as she went along her plan. "Your pockets must be pretty light after buying that cologne for your day."
"That's a good point." He didn't bring much money with him. Only enough to realistically pretend to make a purchase at the store. It didn't help this stupid cologne was unnecessarily expensive. So it ended up taking all he had just to afford it. "Guess I'm going hungry today."
"It don't got to be like that." She seized the opportunity. "Just come sit with me, we can share mine."
"That does sound like a good offer." He was not suspicious of her ulterior motives, but he also had his own to add to the mix. "Could you spare some for Yuusen too?"
"I'm not getting that much." She shot down his suggestion. "Besides, he didn't buy anything so I'm sure he's got the money to pay for his own thing." That was the best Hakuta could do to try and convince him. So at least he could say to his friend that he did give it a shot.
"But can I still sit with you?" Yuusen asked. This prompted some teasing to come out of Rouko.
"Wow, Ninka being surrounded by boys?" She giggled. "Hope she doesn't get all shy, but that's a lot of attention for someone like her."
"It certainly sounds like it does." Shiuka gave her own laughter, but it was filled with unease. Hopefully Hakuta wouldn't have any troubles with her advances today. She knew if he could hold out, she would just move on like she did with a bunch of other boyfriends in the past.
"You girls acting like I don't have the most experience between us three." Ninka played it off as she went to pick out what she wanted to share with Hakuta. The girl already had the perfectly plan on what to choose in order to turn up the flirting and romance.
"Oh, you got us both a large milkshake." He commented upon seeing her bring back the behemoth of a cup. While it wasn't technically food, it wasn't that different from getting ice cream. Though Hakuta couldn't figure out why she would get a huge cup instead of just picking two separate ones for each of them. This way would only make it harder for him to eat it with her so close at the same time.
"Sounds fun, right?" She paid it no mind and placed in both their straws together. "Now, you better try some before it melts. Then it'll be no good anymore." Ninka started sucking on her straw to pull in some of the frosty goodness. As she had been doing that, he kept back and waited for her to give him some space. "Well?" She stopped to beckon him on.
"You're kind of in my way." He informed her as if she wasn't already aware of this fact.
"Don't worry about me." She didn't budge an inch. "If you don't hurry up and take some, I'm gonna eat all of it."
"Um, okay…" He leaned in towards his straw and wrapped his lips around it. Hakuta started to suck, as he turned his eyes towards Yuusen, who really wished he was in his spot at this very moment. In all honestly, even Hakuta wished they could switch places right now so he wouldn't have to suffer through this moment.
This was already a bad moment for him. It was only made worse considering what his friend had already told him just a few minutes ago. Though while it seemed like he was encroaching on territory no boy ever should when they know a friend is into a girl. He hoped that Yuusen would understand he wasn't doing it on purpose. Not that it made it any easier to watch.
Something needed to change, and soon. They had strayed from their original plans as it were, but Hakuta did want to give his friend a shot. It was just strange though. If he didn't know better, he'd say that Ninka appeared to be into him for no apparent reason. She shouldn't be interested in him at all, from his point of view. They were different people and she clearly had other dudes higher up on the social ladder than him as boyfriends already.
Not to mention he would say that Yuusen would also be a better option as a boyfriend too. Not only because he was already into her, but that he was smart and attractive. What part of him was there to hate?
"Well?" She asked him once they had been done sharing a moment with their milkshake. "Did you like it?" Hakuta could've sworn there was something about her tone that seemed a bit different than before. It wasn't like her normal laid back casual speaking, but it was a bit… Seductive.
"It was… Tasty." He answered, averting his gaze. There was something in her stare which made it a challenge to want to make eye contact. "Um, you chose well. The milkshake, I mean." Hakuta felt himself unable to form his thoughts properly. She had managed to worm her way into his personal space. Ninka certainly put her experience into good use here. "I need to use the restroom."
Hakuta stood up quickly, pushing the chair he sat in backwards with a squeal. He needed to come up with any plan to help Yuusen or else he'd look like a terrible friend. "Just chat with Yuusen, he's right there you know." It wasn't much, but he figured it would be enough to keep things from being too awkward. "I'll be right back."
Hakuta was finally able to find a little bit of a breather from Ninka's overbearing personality. This was strange to him, since she normally didn't pay much mind to him at all between Shiuka's friends. Rouko talked to him more often, but that was only just to tease him for fun rather than anything deep. Maybe when he was able to return home with Shiuka, he could ask her about it. But for now, he would just have to bear it for now.
Unfortunately, after he got out of the boy's restroom to wash his face, Hakuta was ambushed by a Ninka who came up with the same excuse as him to put herself into this position.
"Hey there." She greeted him as he left the restroom. The girl was leaning with an arm on the wall as she had waited for his arrival. "Hope you weren't doing anything naughty in there."
"Boys are not that disgusting." He took offense to her insinuation and tried to move past the girl. It appeared that he was tired of her, which was only half true. However, Hakuta concerned himself more on the more important aspect to their new situation. He was alone with her, and given her strange behavior, he didn't feel safe being away from the rest of their friends.
"You don't need to be in a rush." She cut him off. Ninka moved her arm across to prevent him an easy escape. "What's wrong with chatting things up here for a bit? I swear, you always want to keep things so formal. What's wrong with a little casual?"
"Believe me, going with the flow is not how I like to live life." He responded, gulping deeply in anxiety. Hakuta already took a ton of things without any other choice but to accept it. That was how his new life as it were, both home and at school, came to be. If he was the one leading his life, then these gals wouldn't even be considered close at all to being called his friends. Whether or not that could be viewed as a positive was another matter.
"You mean to tell me you don't want to start doing that now?" She gave him a devious smile. Hakuta could see clearly through his glass there was something truly up with her smile, her eyes. Ninka was getting close to him, backing him into the wall. It was at this point he got the hint she had been not so subtly sending to him.
She was into him.
