LAVINIA
"Who's talking about me? My ears have been ringing since last night! Damn!" Jane touched her ear again as she placed her coffee cup on the marble table in front of her.
Medical School. I kept looking at him. I lied about my name yesterday and gave it my girlfriend's name instead. Well, I can't trust a stranger that easily, and considering the situation, who would dare to say that?
My first job was to buy and sell the watch.
So if he comes looking for me, I can deny the name that isn't me.
first place.
"If something happens to the watch,
consider yourself dead."
"Why are you looking at me?"
He asked as he came over to sit next to me and Jane. Her name is Tina
They are my friends, my two best friends.
I'm not very friendly with a smooth face or something, especially
strangers. I rarely express my feelings and other people may perceive me as such.
Someone cold , Maybe the phoenix tattoo on my left arm contributed to them not daring to mess with me. just these two
idiots have stayed with me until now.
We are currently in our 5th year at one of the country's top universities.
"If we finish our report early, can we visit the lavinia taekwondo club?" "Jane," said the boy playing on his phone.
"Help me before I even think about drinking."
Tina hints that she's been sitting here alone for a long time preparing the report. I, on the other hand, did not interfere in his work, and I have no plans to help.
"Well, let's go, okay?"
Jane is not giving up on the idea of going to the club where I work. They usually go there just to hang out because they were as close to the owner as I was.
"Okay we'll go." I said.
Jane stopped fiddling with her phone and the two of them worked faster to complete the report, where Jane asked every three minutes if we were done. As for me, I do my best without any effort.
So the three of us were sitting in front of the bartender at The Root Club, my boss's shop.
I know very well my boss, Jae Jade, a transgender woman who wears traditional tones of clothing and wears it all the time.
I turned my outfit into a working uniform ready to hang with them whenever I'm free.
"Lavinia, someone asked you to make a drink." The middle-aged, talkative woman makes me smile, accepts the thin sheet with the request on it, and prepares the drink.
That's what I really want, to be a bartender. But I have a long way to go from here. I often get a lot of tips, especially from female customers. And there's a lot of people sitting there staring at me all night.
Some days, I'll sneak them to the hotel, but that's only if I really like the girl. For example, this woman, whom I am serving cocktails at the moment, came with three of her friends. And not to brag, she continued to look at me as if I were a piece of sausage.
"My name is Vivi, you can call me if you have free time."
As expected, she wrote a little note of her number on a piece of paper and gave it to me. I replied with a small smile and put the paper in my pocket.
"I wonder how many people you're going to have sex with tonight," said Jane as I walked over and sat my ass in the chair next to her.
"What? It's not even dark, but does anyone want to jump on it already?"
said Jae Jade and wrapped his arms around mine.Jae is different. She was kind and always there for me and my friends.
When I'm in financial trouble for my tuition, he's the first to offer help. I've been working here for years, even though I just turned 23 a few months ago, Jae let me work part time. Before, I was just a houseboy. I help keep the club clean and tidy. After school, I help mop the floors before opening the club, and before I go home I scrub the floors, clean all the tables and chairs, and make sure everything is in order. Until I was promoted to waitress as Jae said, customers were dependent on me and I had killer looks.
"Yeah Jae, you have to get ready, all eyes on your son in the club now." Said Tina
Jae grimaced and pursed his lips as he leaned against my shoulder. I couldn't help laughing in embarrassment and had a glass of alcohol.
The night is still young and customers are starting to fill the club. But I'm not busy yet. I remember my father died in a car accident with my mother, my uncle sam is taking care of me. My father entrusted me to him. The only treasure left to me is the phoenix tattoo. My parents loved it very much.
"You're really going to be Jae's husband huh? I've never seen you with a girlfriend." said Jane.
"Hehe, I can barely survive on my own, why would I look for someone to take care of it?" I laughed at their stupid jokes.
"You can find someone to take care of you, idiot." Tina tilts her head to the corner table where a group of beautiful women are sitting.
"I saw you staring at you for a long time."
"You want to kick him in the face?" I tried to kick him under the table.
"Anyway, he might be in love with you. Everyone stop looking, we're getting obvious." said Jae, and everyone pretends to be looking elsewhere.
"Yeah really, you looked cool, you dressed properly, you also have that cool tattoo." Tina keeps teasing me and
it makes me throw ice at it.
"If Lavinia and jae were together, they would give birth to a dog that looks like Jae Jade."
Jane laughs so much that Jae hits her on the head.
"Oh, this table is full of shit." She said and went to other tables to assist customers.
"Look, he's not looking at Jae, he clearly likes your lavinian!" exclaims Jane.
I looked at the table uncomfortably, those were the times I hated. When lesbians walk into the shop and look at me like I'm freshly cut ham. Some even bother typing numbers and messages, some even talk to piss me off and I can't do anything. I just smile at them. I don't care, but I know my taste, I'm not like that.
"Look at the brands they're wearing, you might have a better life if you say yes to it." said Tina.
"If you don't stop, I'll drag you behind the shop and beat you up." I said softly but dangerously.
"Ohoi, I'm kidding! Look, the woman you serve has called you, go!"
I walked over to Vivi, who was calling me to order something more. So I just smiled and bent over and talked to him.
"Where is the bathroom?" She said between our faces, almost touching. His fingers gently caressed my hand on the table.
"Walk straight from there, then turn left." I pointed him in the direction of the bathroom. I tried to act innocent even though I knew what she wanted.
"Can you take me there? I'm afraid I'll be lost."
That's it, I nodded and walked ahead, and as expected, the lady couldn't take it anymore and pulled me into the dark corner next to the store's storage room.
He got up to kiss my lips. I pushed him off his shoulder.
"Lavinia! Come quickly! Something bad is happening!"
A younger waiter came running up to me with fear on his face.
"What's happening?" I said . Vivi looked confused.
"Let's go."
As I was chasing after my young coworker, I found half the shop was cluttered and broken. Tables and chairs fell, customers rushed out of the shop. Pieces of glasses and bottles were scattered on the floor. There were more than ten black-clad men refusing to stay inside.
Jae tries to negotiate but they don't care. I ran to Jae, who was crying with two friends and another employee. I looked at the man in front of me and immediately recognized him.
As soon as she sees me she immediately runs towards me to attack, luckily my feet faster than her hands hit her chest, which knocks her to her feet.
How could I not recognize the people I had a fight with last night?
I didn't wait for anyone to come at me, I rushed forward with punch after punch, kick after kick. I see that two of my friends have also joined the fight. Jae managed to find a chair and joined her, turning the beautiful lady into a ragged thug in anger.
"We're here for revenge! You scumbag." Said the man I punched in the face.
"Well, you're a softie." I said with a grin, then gave him another blow.
The man staggered a little, but that didn't stop him from picking up a beer bottle and hitting the table. A devilish smile on his face. He proceeded to stab me, but what can one who is ten times faster do to me? I deftly deflected it until he went crazy.
I forgot to think yesterday that they should know that I work here. Who doesn't want? I threw out the trash and locked the back door. How stupid I am.
I helped a bastard and look what I've become. I'm not afraid of bandits, but I'm afraid for Jae and the others. Especially the reparations I will pay, because clearly I am the cause of this turmoil.
"You're really good." He said he brushed his chin. He never gives up even after being kicked a few times.
"Thank you for compliment." I said smiling.
I tried to kick him in the leg but someone from behind managed to lock my arms and now I'm cornered but still pretty sure I can't beat it. I can find a way out of this.
Moron smiled slyly, walking slowly with the broken bottle in his hand, When suddenly...
"Stop!"
The sound came from the store entrance. Everyone turns to look at the familiar voice.
"Damn Menasa!" One of the men cursed.
All eyes turned to the young man dressed in black. His hair gleaming in the club lights and his face gleaming with scratches from yesterday's fight. His eyes darted towards me, he looked at me and grinned. He looked better now than yesterday. Behind him are a few people in black.
"You asshole!" Someone shouts and I start punching and kicking again. I don't know which side I'm on right now because I don't know the newcomer either, let's just say I'm avenging the shop.
"Mr Menesa, be careful."
I turned to the voice of the man who was Menesa's subordinate, only to find him staggering and hitting the wall and then falling to the ground with a bloody face. There were more than five people standing, all holding a knife and ready to attack us. I must be on Menesa's side because the watch he gave me is worth more than a hundred thousand, so I owe him a little more.
Dropping the knife from the hand of the person closest to me, I kick the ankle. Then I hold the head of the person who punched the menesa in the face and hold the head of the person who hit the table, because the person I saved yesterday is again for the bloodIt really pissed me off to see it. How dare you!
I let go of my foot and kick again until the jerk falls to the ground.
"Thank you." His hoarse voice came again, as if caressing my trembling muscles.
Why does it have such an effect on me?
"No sweating." I replied with a smile. Then come back to punching. We never get tired, I can go on like this all night if it means protecting this beautiful woman from behind.
"Hey, did you burn their house down?" I asked her.
"They were the ones who haunted me." she said.
But more black-clad men arrived, and Jae rushed to the back of the shop with the others. No matter how good you are at martial arts, the odds are open if there are more than a dozen men out there.
If I don't get out of here, I'll probably be a ghost tomorrow morning.
"Go!" I said to Menesa
"Where? We're surrounded." He said, not even the slightest hint of fear in his voice.
My mind is running fast. I thought of an escape route. If I leave now, this mess will end because I will be their target, not Jae or the shop. So I grabbed Menasa's wrist and ran towards the back door.
"Where are we going?" He asks me behind my back.
I didn't answer as I dragged him to jump behind me on the motorcycle. I was lucky to park behind the shop today. And just like yesterday, I started the engine and drove fast. It was like watching a rewind movie.
Deja vu!
To the point where I passed the gas station where we stopped yesterday.
How much will he owe me this time?.
