After the match, Anna and her friends went to a cafe to celebrate her victory. All of them are having chocolate cake and latte as those are specialities of the cafe.
" The video of your last goal is going viral right now. I think everyone in the pack knows you defeated Aston in his game," Noah tries not to laugh much due to the injuries on his face. As he was beaten up by the high ranked werewolves so his healing is slower than usual.
" He deserved it and what does he think of himself? Just because he will be the Alpha doesn't mean he can beat you two and take the picture of it," Anna muttered looking satisfied by remembering Aston's face.
" Well, that couldn't happen if these two idiots haven't fought the high ranked mutts," Chloe spoke while deliberately pinching Noah's face causing him to whine as everyone laughed.
" It was in the moment of heat...Okay. Otherwise, I could have handled it better and made Oliver pay for hurting you," Noah spoke while looking at Chloe intensely making her bush.
" I think my nose will forever be crooked," Kai spoke while looking at his phone camera.
" I will help you with that," Alice quickly punch his face before Kai could stop her.
" What the hell is wrong with you?" Kai holds his nose in pain as everyone including the people near him started to laugh except for Alice who looks innocent.
" I am helping you," Alice reasons with a straight face that almost made everyone believe she was actually trying to fix Kai's crooked nose. But knowing Alice since childhood, they knew Alice can keep a straight face while cranking a joke.
" Screw you, Alice," Kai muttered while Alice dramatically gasped looking offended.
Then Anna's phone rings. It was her Dad, making Anna hesitant to pick up the call. " Get ready to be grounded," Everyone chanted simultaneously.
Anna flip the bird at her friends before she answered the call.
" Hey, Dad," Anna tried to sound cheerful while inside she will getting herself prepared to hear lectures from Ben.
" I got to know, you won the match against Aston. I am never been proud of you as I am now," Ben sounded genuinely happy, making Anna relax.
" Dad, I thought you will scold me as I humiliated Aston in front of the whole school," Anna muttered while her friends looked shocked.
Ben laugh and said, " I used to win against Chris all the time. It's just a game, Anna...No need to take it that seriously,"
" Okay, right now I am in the cafe with my friends to celebrate my victory... Is there something else you want to say, old man?" Anna holds her laugh as she knew her Dad hates to be called an old man.
" Well, this old man wanted to take you for the dinner at the human restaurant you insist on me taking you there...," Ben couldn't finish his talk as Anna interrupted him saying, " Sorry Dad, I take it back,"
Ben pretends to make a sound that looks like he is thinking but he enjoys hearing Anna's desperation for going to human territory.
" I will think about it...I have important work to do so I have to go. Bye, sweetie," Anna was shocked and regret to why she called him an old man. As Ben cut the call while laughing. He then mind-linked Katie to inform the children about the dinner plan and told them to get ready at seven. Therefore they can talk before leaving the house and inform Katie that there will be bodyguards for them as well.
After the brief conversation, Ben went to the pack's cell where a few rogues were kept. Rogues got scared as Ben enter the cell due to Ben's aura.
" I will let you go after you finish answering my question. If I felt you are lying or trying to hide information...There will be a consequence to bear," Ben smiled coldly while his eyes showed his wolf has taken control. This made the rogues whimper.
" WHICH ONE OF YOU LEFT THE MESSAGE THAT THREATENS MY DAUGHTERS," Ben roars that could be heard from miles away.
While Anna was regretting her action, she received a message from her mother. Saying to get home early as they will have dinner at the human restaurant tonight. This made Anna breathe in relief and share with her friends.
Alice looked concerned and asked," Why could Uncle Ben take you all out when you guys are in danger,"
To which Anna smiled and responded, " Dad is a Beta who already has planned everything. When Mom was in danger, he didn't do any precautions like assigning bodyguards or making Mom be home arrested instead Mom went wherever she wanted to go without being accompanied. No one knows except for Alpha and the Gamma, how Dad was able to capture the culprit. He never revealed it as well,"
" Well, we have crazy Alpha, Beta and Gamma," Kai said but he receive a smack from Anna.
" Don't call my Dad crazy," Anna warns looking angry and making Kai nervous as he doesn't want to beat by Anna.
" Sorry, I didn't mean it like that," Kai apologise.
" I believe Aston, Liam and Oliver will be better than their fathers," Chloe spoke.
" Are you praising your bully?" Noah said as he frowned mirroring others' expressions.
" I hate him but that doesn't change the fact, " Chloe shrugged her shoulders.
" Come on, we will be late for the movies," Anna said before Noah who could have gone into an argument with Chloe.
As they went passing the spy who was listening to everything they talk. The spy then messages the Alpha.
Spy: Beta family going to have dinner at the human restaurant and there are rumours that Aston and Ava had a breakup.
Alpha: I want facts, not rumours.
Spy: Okay Alpha.
" Beta Ben is more stupid than we thought. He is taking his family for dinner in the human territory. Let's give him a surprise," Alpha said to his Beta who is sitting on the couch next to him drinking rum.
" What is your plan then?" the Beta asked.
" I was thinking to show his daughters a glimpse of what will happen to them when they will be in our mercy," Alpha laughed wickedly while the Beta smiles.
" What's wrong with you? Did the slut not satisfy you enough?" Alpha joked as he knew his Beta is saving himself for his mate.
" Shut up, Jerk. Sean is driving me crazy since yesterday," The Beta spoke with irritation.
" One of the reasons, wolves annoy their host is because they can sense their mate near," Alpha shrugged his shoulders making the Beta smile.
" Fuck, I am going to search wherever I went today and yesterday. I am not going to accompany you tonight to surprise the Beta family," The Beta announced and drank his drink before leaving the room. The Alpha laughs seeing his friend behave and suddenly thought about his mate. The expression of the Alpha got darkened as he doesn't want a mate. Ever since he was a child, he always dream of having a mate, with whom he will spend the rest of his life and with whom he will protect till his last breath. Therefore the best way to protect his mate is to never find her as he is a monster and he will ruin her.
" I need my mate," Ron roars at his host who blocks him.
" I need ten wolves to accompany me to surprise the Beta family," The Alpha mind-linked Leo who is the brutal member along with his brother Levi.
" Yes, Alpha," Leo answered.
" I will have my revenge," Alpha thought looking at the pictures of Howler pack members.
Anna came out of the theatre and was checking her phone when someone post a picture of Aston and Ava breaking up. Anna screamed in happiness which startle her friends.
" Aston and Ava always break up and patch up. I will find it weird when they manage two weeks without breaking up," Alice commented.
" Oh, I hope it's permanent this time," Anna looks optimistic.
" And Aston won't come with us to the dinner tonight," Anna realise and she was in seven heavens. As Aston always accompanies Ava to the human territory as he is protective of her.
" Why did they break up?" Alice asked as she is dying for some gossip.
" Maybe it's because of Anna," Chloe whispered.
" Please if they were going to break up because of me then they could have done it a long time ago," Anna reasons with Chloe's statement.
" Maybe, Aston is upset about the match," Kai points out.
" Or Ava didn't want to give him a head," Noah said making all the girls smack his head.
" That's my sister, you are talking about," Anna frowned at Noah.
" It was a joke," Noah defends himself.
" That's a horrible one," Chloe growls.
" I said I am sorry. I won't make such jokes next time," Noah feels guilt after seeing Chloe's reaction.
Noah and Chloe know each other since they are children as their parents were close friends. Both of them are inseparable from childhood just like Aston and Ava, everyone thinks they are mates. Noah and Chloe want to date each other but both of their parents object to it. Later reasons with the possibility that they may not be mates and their future mate might get hurt from this. Therefore, Noah presented Chloe with a promise ring since it's extremely common. Yet, they hope their mates don't get hurt if they don't turn out to be mates.
" Sorry, if you got hurt by the statement," Noah whispered to Chloe as she is sensitive to such talk ever since her bully Oliver started a nasty rumour about her and Noah. The rumour almost got Noah and Chloe suspended from school but their parents seek help from Luna Carol which saved Chloe and Noah. Yet, the trauma she went through caused her to seek therapy. No one knows about the therapy expected of her parents and friends who won't say it so she won't be bullied for it.
No one knows why Oliver bullies Chloe. Even his friends, Aston and Liam ask him why he is rude to Chloe as they don't like his pranks as they felt Oliver is crossing the line. Because of this, Oliver doesn't include anyone in his prank on Chloe anymore. Also, he has threatens Chloe to be quiet and she listened to him not because she is scared of him but because she blames herself due to her low esteem.
Chloe wishes to stand up for herself and no matter how much she tries to do it, she fails. Because of consistent bullying, Chloe always is with her friends who are confident and strong to stand up for her, especially Anna. Since she is the beta's daughter, no one tries to bullies her or fight with her except for Aston.
Aston and Anna are uses any opportunity to tease each other. Their fights cause their parents to have a headache therefore their parents try every possible they don't fight. Such as the Beta couple didn't allow Anna to take the part in a football team as she could be meeting Aston every day since their high school includes boys and girls in the same team. Aston's parents made the school authorities make a timetable where Aston and Anna could meet each other as less as possible.
But those don't stop Aston and Anna to fight. Not a single day goes where one of them tries to annoy the other. As Aston and Anna feel incomplete when they don't tease or mock each other. As much as Aston hates Anna, he loves Ava and Liam. Because of them, Aston is tolerating Anna otherwise he could bully Anna worse than Oliver does Chloe.
Anna is getting excited about the dinner as she wanted to go to the human territory for a year. As Anna finds the human lifestyle fascinating yet the concept of love is something Anna doesn't like. Anna is a strong believer in fate mates and she could do anything to have her mate by her side. Anna has planned to find her mate on her eighteenth birthday and if couldn't find him in the pack. Then she will take a gap year where she will travel to every pack and mating ceremony to find him. After two years, if she fails then she will leave it to the moon goddess and concentrate on her further studies and career.
As Anna was thinking about her mate while riding her bike. She didn't notice a Ducati brand bike is following her until it reach her.
" Let's race to your house," Aston screams.
" Get ready to lose again," Anna screams back.
Then both of them increase their speed and try to overtake each other. Aston quickly turns to take the shortcut while Anna doubted there could be traffic this time as well. Anna smirked at the imagination of Aston's expression when he finds the traffic. As Anna was close to her house and noticed Aston haven't arrived yet. She was smiling until Aston shows up and he was closer than her. She couldn't have imagined in millions of years, that Aston slows his speed down and let Anna win.
Anna was fuming with rage, she couldn't have been this furious if Aston have won.
" Why the hell did you let me win?" Anna scream and walked to Aston who look at Anna with a smile. Then Aston tugs back Anna's hair behind her ear.
" Congratulations and hope you have fun tonight," Aston spoke gently and went inside Anna's house as Liam opened the door. Liam looked at Aston in curious as he witnessed everything that happened.
" You better not hurt Anna from whatever you have planned," Liam warns Aston after they were inside his room.
" Why could I harm my pack member? I am going to be the Alpha," Aston fakes to look concerned.
" I am serious, Aston. She is my sister and I will not think a second before beating the shit out of you for hurting her," Liam looks at his friend with narrow eyes.
" Okay...Why are you guys going to the human territory when Ava is in danger?" Aston questions Liam looking serious.
" To celebrate Anna's victory and you know how Dad is," Liam answers and he refers to his uncle as Dad. Since Ben and Katie have always treated him like a son therefore at the age of five, he started to call them Mom and Dad. This made the Beta couple cheerful that help them to decide that Liam will be the future Beta as they were getting confused about who could be Beta from their family. Since females are more likely to leave the pack to live with their mates.
" I know but...," Aston couldn't finish his sentence as Anna screams loudly causing Aston and Liam to run towards her room.
" Are you okay, Anna?" Liam asked once he entered the room along with Aston. Anna pointed toward a bouquet of black roses with blood on it.
" Is it your doing, Aston?" Anna asked glaring at him.
Aston shakes his head as no and holds the bouquet to see if there is a message. " It doesn't have a card or anything that can say who send it," Aston spoke looking serious as this could be another threat where the enemy was able to pass the pack borders and put this in the Beta's house.
" Anna, What happened? I heard you screaming from outside," Ava came inside and she saw Aston was holding a bouquet with blood on it.
" That's what the message meant?" Ava whispered making everyone look at her in question.
" What message are you talking about?" Liam questions her.
Ava pulls out a piece of paper and handed it to Liam who read it out loud.

Liam and Aston quickly went to the Alpha office taking Anna and Ava as they won't risk leaving them alone.
This time Aston didn't knock on the door making everyone present in the room surprised. Alpha Chris, Luna Carol, Beta Ben, Female Beta Katie, Gamma Aiden and his mate, the Female Gamma Susan were having a discussion relating to the undercover warriors. When Aston burst into the office making everyone growl due to the sudden appearance.
" What the hell is wrong with you?" Alpha Chris yells at Aston who didn't get affected as he was angry at the moment.
" Someone planted this note on Ava's car and these blooded flowers in Anna's room," Aston kept the note and the flowers on the table. Beta Ben took the note rapidly and read the message to others.
Alpha Chris roars making everyone bow to him except for Luna Carol and Aston. " I want everyone to leave now, except for my Beta and Gamma," Alpha Chris commanded everyone with his Alpha tone.
" But Dad..." Aston tries to protest but Alpha Chris growled at him and said, " There are some things you will know after becoming the Alpha," Aston leaves the room reluctantly but drags Liam to his room and message Oliver to come there.
" Beta Ben, until the culprit is captured I want you and your family to move into the pack house," Alpha Chris spoke while Beta Ben nodded since he won't go against the Alpha and he also knows it's safer for them to be in the pack house.
" Gamma Aiden, I want you to find out whose blood is this?" Alpha Chris orders making Gamma Aiden reply, " Yes, Alpha,"
" We personally guarded the borders today...it could be the work of a spy," Beta Ben said.
" That's what I thought and told you to shift into the pack house since it's safer to convince the spy that we are scared and took precautions," The three men smirk thinking the spy will fall into their trap.
" Pretend to walk into the trap,
turn the predator into the prey," The three men chanted their pack motto which helps them to capture their enemies.
" Beta Ben, I want you to install a hidden camera and microphones everywhere on the Beta's floor. Don't leave any blank spots...install only the microphones in the bedrooms as well," Beta Ben couldn't hide his expression of a surprise hearing the last part.
" Install microphones in the rooms... Who will be listening to them?" Beta Ben asked.
" Only You and Katie will be listening to the bedroom one whereas the other can be supervised by one of us," Alpha Chris said and joked, " Trust me, I don't want to listen to your room talks," Making the Beta and the Gamma laugh.
" I am actually worried about what will I hear from my children's room," Beta Ben shakes his head thinking about the possibilities of things, he will be listening to.
" I hope no boys sneak into Anna or Ava's room otherwise we have to chain Ben in the cell," Gamma Aiden jokes making Apha Chris laugh while Beta Ben frown at the thought of boys inside Anna and Ava's room.
" What happens when Katie hears a girl's sound from Liam's room microphone?" Alpha Chris raises a question.
" Nothing will stop her then unless that girl is his mate," Ben spoke having a bewildered look making everyone laugh.
" Enough with jokes, Ben are you still taking your family to human territory?" Alpha Chris questions.
" I won't ruin Anna's mood because of some wannabe villain," Beta Ben replies and continues, " I will be taking bodyguards with me on the safe side," Making Alpha nodded.
" Dad, are we still going to the Devil's Tango?" Anna asked.
" Anna, how many times have I told you we are not going?" Katie says looking tense.
" Please, Dad...," Anna and Ava pleaded to their Dad. Since they were looking forward to having dinner in Devil's Tango.
" Of course, we are going after all I book the reservation. I can't let that go in vain," Ben spoke cheerfully like everything is normal.
" But Ben..." Ben interrupted Katie saying, " I will not allow a wannabe villain to ruin our night. Remember, the motto of the pack," Ben said indicating to his mate that this is a part of a plan to capture the culprit. Katie wasn't happy as she understood since it concerned her daughters. She wanted to argue further with Ben but he said, " By the way, until the matter is solved we will be staying in the pack house like old times,"
" WHAT?" Ava and Anna screamed as they don't like the thought of staying in the pack house. As they will have almost no privacy and things like clothes, food, and jewellery tend to lose or stolen.
" That's the final decision," Ben announced, the girls looked defended.
" Okay, where is Liam? I think it's better we talk now," Ben said.
" Liam is with Aston. I will message him to come here," Ava spoke as she was about to type the message.
" No, tell him to come to the Beta floor. That's where we will live," Ben informed them.
" Wait, That means we won't be living with other children," Ava asked looking surprised.
" No, you are older now. So you can have your privacy being on the Beta floor," Katie says as she always liked to stay at the pack house. Her childhood was spent in this house, she relives the memories of her young life whenever she visits.
The pack-house is a mansion where werewolves live together with the majority of the families are the warriors,
Zeta the war generals, Iotas the medical workers, Kappas the hunters of the pack, and orphans omega who are adults. The mansion is divided into categories, there are separated wings for children, teenagers, young couples, and small families and the high three ranks have their floors at the centre structure of the mansion.
After hearing from their Mom that they will not live with other teenagers. Ava and Anna looked relieved as they can still have their privacy. Then Ava happily messages Liam.
Ava: We will be living on the Beta floor until the matter is solved. And Dad is calling you to come there so we can have the family talk.
Liam: WTH? I am on my way.
" We are moving to live on the Beta floor until the matter is solved," Liam informs his friends who looked delighted with the news.
" Looks like the moon goddess is helping us," Oliver chuckled.
" Dad could have suspected the spy will be living in the pack house as all the spies find it easier to live in the pack house to gain information because of the large of werewolves living here. Then making you all shift here gives the spy the perfect opportunity," Aston thought deeply to figure out his Dad's plans.
" Pretend to walk into the trap,
turn the predator into the prey," Oliver answers the doubt Aston had.
" That's what our Dads do, like capturing the rogues who planned to kill Aunt Katie or killing the vampires who kidnapped Aunt Carol and how my Dad massacred a whole pack who abuse my Mom throughout her life. Our Dads live by the motto," Oliver said making Aston and Liam nod in the realisation.
" Then, we will follow it as well. We will pretend to be naive but in reality, we will set the trap," Aston smirked.
" Okay, I have to go otherwise Mom will be coming to find me," Liam left the room.
" You know, fate is helping you to protect Ava as well as take revenge on Anna by making them shift into the pack house," Oliver said to Aston.
" This will help to complete our step one today itself and we can move to step two tomorrow," Aston explains.
" I just love the second step. But I don't think you can complete the step one today itself," Aston looked at Oliver and asked harshly,
" Are you challenging my abilities?"
" What? No, I will never do that. I meant was because of the current situation, Anna won't have time. Like shifting her stuff in the pack house and going to Devil's Tango which is quite far from the pack," Oliver surrender his hand and explained his statement.
" First of all, She won't pack much as she will be moving temporary and I will be going to Devil's Tango with them," Aston point out the facts making Oliver look surprised.
" You will be going to Devil's Tango," Oliver said the statement looking stunned.
" Of course, I won't let Ava go to the human territory when there is danger," Aston said the reason behind going with the Beta's family.
" But you two broke up," Oliver counterattacked Aston.
" That doesn't stop me from protecting her," Aston rapidly says back.
" You guys truly give mate vibes unlike that crow-like hair headed Noah and scary cat Chloe. Like I wonder who thinks they will be mates?" Oliver questions looking hateful as he remembers the moment he saw the promise ring on Chloe's hand.
" What makes you so hateful towards Chloe?" Aston asked as he opens the door for the omega who kept the snacks and drinks and then left.
" You hate Anna and you also bully her. So what makes us so different that people get angry with me and not with you?" Oliver questions while being frustrating by people's double standards.
" Anna and I bully each other... It's like we do it in the same intensity where both of us are at fault and none of us is a victim. But in your case, Chloe doesn't do anything but rather bear your mocks and pranks. That makes her the victim where you look like a villain," Aston explains while Oliver nodded in agreement and thinks about ways to provoke Chloe.
" You are in for a ride, scary cat," Oliver thought to himself as he plans to bully his favourite prey.
" I have some work so bye," Oliver mumbled and left before Aston says bye to him. As Oliver was going, he came across Beta Ben who was signing on a paper and then giving it back to the delivery man.
" Uncle Ben! Are you buying some home warming gifts for the guest? Well, I would love to have the latest model of PlayStation," Oliver cracks the joke making Ben laugh and say, " Then I have to run from your Mom. Who is worried about your education,"
" Mom worries for the tinnies thing. I don't know when will she stop?" Oliver rolls his eyes at the mention of his Mom and his studies. Because the combination doesn't mix well for Oliver.
" She will stop once you have your mate. She...or he will bring the best of out of you," Ben said looking serious but Oliver gasped,
" Uncle Ben, I am straight. You are well aware that I flirt with women,"
This made Ben snicker, " I have met many men who thought they were straight but after meeting their mates...they realise they were living a lie,"
" What lie? I never saw a werewolf being a member of LGBTQ+," Oliver suddenly got interested in the conversation.
" It is because your high school environment is toxic. No one in your school will declare their sexuality due to the fears of bullying," Ben said while patting Oliver's shoulder and leaving towards the Beta floor.
As Ben reaches the Beta's floor, all his memories came flooding to him. His father was also the Beta of the pack due to which he lived on the Beta floor as a child. The floor had the memories of his time spent with his deceased brother, his mate who could sneak out of her room to meet him. The memories made him smile unknowingly.
" Dad, you are smiling like a lost puppy," Liam teases Ben who glared at Liam.
" Careful Liam, I am in charge of your expense along with being your trainer," Ben warns Liam who paled in second thinking about the harsh training and the possibility of his card being taken away.
" Sorry, Dad," Liam apologise when Ben notices the huge resemblance between Liam and his brother, Jake. This softens Ben's expression and says, " Come on, we have a family discussion to attend,"
Then Liam and Ben went to the master bedroom where Anna and Ava is helping their Mom to set up her closet.
" Shall we sit in the bed and talk?" Ben said it was more like an order than a question.
When everyone settles in the bed, Ben spoke, " When the body was found today, there was a threatening message and it was targeted at you girls. And the note you found was the second threat. Here is the note that was found near the body. Do any of you know whose handwriting is this?" Ben asked looking at his daughter closely.
" I know whose handwriting is this," Ava shouts in disbelief.
" Whose?" everyone asked.
