Synopsis
Dragons are creatures of great power. They cannot be controlled, but they can be tamed. Only one person has ever accomplished this, the Dragon Tamer. Destiny is a village girl. She's considered an outcast by her people because she is a mortal, humans with no magic power. While her parents treat her as a maid and stranger, her brother, Axel, and grandmother are the only ones that love her despite her mortality. One day, after an incident involving a dragon rider's dragon, a series of heart-stopping nightmares, and new abnormal eye color, Destiny decides to tell her grandmother. Her grandmother, however, sees these events as something more.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

Long ago, the war between humans and dragons was at its peak; neither side was willing to give in. This was the legendary war that left the earth in fiery ruin. The green grass was no longer visible, for it was turned to ash only to be mixed with the charred dirt beneath it. The flourished trees, which bore sweet fruits and delicate flowers, only bared smoke and sparks of fire. The beasts that caused such destruction were none other than the dragons.

Dragons were fierce creatures that only sought to destroy. Each dragon was different; none had the same power. One would breathe fire, while the other would breathe lightning and wind. The humans did their best to fight against them but ultimately were defenseless against the beasts. With each attack, the dragons were more superior. Dwindling the number of humans day by day, all hope seemed lost until one person changed everything.

A man with yellow slit eyes entered the war. The people looked at this man with horror, for his eyes were not human; in fact, they were of dragon origin. Seeing this man as a threat, the people kept their distance and prepared to fight against him. The people only assumed the worst since the war had already claimed countless lives.

However, the man proved himself a friend not only to humans but to dragons as well. Instead of harming the dragons, he befriended them. He gained the dragon's trust and was able to tame them. They willingly obeyed him without question. Because of this man, the war was over, and humans and dragons lived in peace.

No one knew the man's name, so they decided to give him a title to identify him. They called him the Dragon Tamer, the man who tamed the beasts of fiery.

Sadly, this peace was not meant to last. For years passed, and the Dragon Tamer's life slowly ended. Full of grief and sorrow at the loss of their friend, the dragons attacked, and the war had returned. Without the Dragon Tamer, the humans were defenseless against the beasts. The ancients wanted to put a stop to the war as soon as possible. So they created a special seal that would allow them to control the dragons. The ancients knew of the dragons' immunity to magic, so they used that to their advantage. The seal would work with the dragons' impunity rather than against it causing the beast to obey the seal's caster.

The creation and test of the seal were successful. Peace returned to the world, and the war between humans and dragons was over.

However, one dragon was immune to the seal. His will was far too powerful, and he rejected the seal. The dragon fled to his castle in the north, where he remained until his master returned. The people and the ancients gave this dragon a name that meant 'untamed,' Otamd.

Time went on, and the peace was still. But the ancients knew that the seal could be broken, and only one person could do it. They did not know where and who it might be, but they knew the day would come when true peace would return.
